Just checked. You did. Good call. I think what threw me off was that he didn't kill the child as well, making me figure that it was his.

he didn't kill the child because even in his irrationality, he was rational.

He knew that the kid was totally innocent. The kid didn't ask to be born.

In a warped sense of justice, he killed the two responsible for wrongdoing: himself and the girlfriend
