Cheap hotels/motels near Buffalo Airport
Does anyone know a list of cheap hotels/motels near Buffalo NY airport? Cheap as in good value but not cheap where one is in the hood or compromising health and safety.

Thanks

Have not lived there for a few years but there are a number of hotels on Genesee St. across the street from the airport. That area isn't really hood, but there are not that many nice neighborhoods in Buffalo anyhow. Best hotel in the city is the Adam's Mark downtown. Let me know if you got any questions.

Agreed that there are serviceable hotels on either side of the airport on the south side of Genessee street: your standard Best Western, Days Inn, Fairfield Inn, etc.

If you want to go to downtown Buffalo, it's only about 15 minutes away and no more unsafe or run-down than any other secondary city. I respectfully disagree with the Adam's Mark being the best hotel in the city - though at one point in the past that may have been true. There's a Hyatt Regency, Embassy Suites (which is inside of a new and impressive-for-Buffalo building), and a Hampton Inn downtown near the main entertainment district. There's also a higher-end hotel called the Mansion on Delaware, but it's more of a staycation-y kind of place for people in the area, as it's not particularly convenient to anything on foot.
