What would be a good itinerary for a 2 week trip to central america? Would prefer to spend split it up staying one week in a town / area. Basic criteria to help with suggestions are the usual nightlife / girls / beach(alil surfing) / safety .

To be more specific, from reading this forum id like to spend one week in Costa Rica preferably based in the spot with the best girls / nightlife but in traveling distance to a beach. Then travel to somewhere in Panama with the same criteria, it appears Panama City is the best place for chicks and nightlife.

My moms from Nicaragua, so Ive been many times. Theres plenty of good looking chicas in Managua, and If even in the small towns. They especially love the "gringos", and being sharp and goodlooking just makes it that much easier. Good rum, coffe and food as well. Try to hit up Granada and San Juan Del Sur(beachtown) if your in Nica. Goodluck and enjoy the journey bra....

Panama City (PTY) blows away San Jose when it comes to quality - high end, upscale places & events. PTY has what seems like a hundred high rise buildings, compared to 1-2 in SJO.

El Zonte and anywhere near La Libertad El Salvador is the new up and coming hot spot. Most people rant and rave over Costa Rica, but in my mind (truth or not) that place always seemed boring and over run by foreigners.

Went to Panama for 7 Days this is not the place to hook up with local girls. These girls are the most stuck up girls in Central America. I was treated like a king in Costa Rica and Honduras and other South American countries but for some reason these Panama girls were tough.

I have been living in costa rica for about the past 6 months, going there on and off for 4 years, if you have any specific questions let me know. BUT Heredia is great for the girls too.... quite easy to pick up, almost all the younger people speak english in costa rica. Heredia has a few colleges so good times. San Jose is great, more people with money there. More expensive too tho.

Everyone wants to go to Jaco beach, most whores there. Get away from Jaco imo. Puntarenas is nice, lots of locals go there.

Just stay away from escazu and you will be fine, thats where all the gringos go to live and hang out, you might as well be in the US. The only difference is there is the nicest club in SJ is Gaira in escazu. Definitely go to whatever local events, parades, mini carnivals, and you will meet really cool, nice girls who dont get out much. They are SUPER friendly people.

Ladies night fri and mon in FOFOs Heredia, great pick up spot for SNL´s
Monday ladies night Casino fiesta alajuela(by airport)
tuesday(hardest night to find something) el sultan 2mil entry 500 a beer (great deal)
wednesday ladies night gaira(also best night for gaira is saturday)
ladies night thursday club On (its new, by ottos in heredia)
Sunda La Jarra heredia is pretty good too.

any night of the week you can go to el pueblo in SJ

Mas Tequila in Mall Paseo De Flores happy hour every day 2 for 1 330-630, I usually end up at the place next door K'bana because most of thier prices are cheaper, but for 2 for 1 you cant beat mas tquila

Sometimes I like buying bottles of johny red\black, they will hold the bottles at the clubs for the next time you come if you dont drink it all..... every club/bar BUT Gaira so far.

Give the people a little extra tip like we do in the US (most checks have 10% included so just a little extra) and they will fight over you when you come back. they remember the gringos.

One thing to keep in mind is that San Jose is a big destination for Tricks(P4P). In a few years it might be right up there with Thailand and Brazil. You might have to deal with a lot of "undercover hoes" who will pretend to be feeling your Game just to come out and ask for some change for something strange after you wasted 2 hours spitting the best game in your life.

Hey Eduardo, have you been to the Corn Islands? I am debating going there this Winter just to relax and chill.

The issue with Costa Rica is you are either going for girls (San Jose) or Beaches with minimal girls (maybe some tourist girls if you are super lucky).

Jaco could be the exception, but I would rather get knee surgery than go to Jaco. (never been).

Panama has epic surf spots (many are secret), not sure around Panama City though.

I know Central America well -
in- CR the quality is not very good - Ticas are hot when they are young but they age poorly so you will see a lot of unattractive girls with big pot bellies.

CR is a major "pay to play" destination. That is why you often hear guys talk about getting laid in CR. Hookers come in from Colombia, D.R. and Nicaragua. Most of the hotter girls that you'll see are actually hookers.

Jaco is a beach resort town - it is mainly hookers. There are some surfer bars but they are not pickup spots.
Tamarindo does not have a nightlife that is worth checking out - mainly surfer bars - again - not a great place to pick up.
Great country to chill in but it's not really a pick up destination.
San Jose is the only city in Costa Rica that has real nightlife - I think it is average at best - Pueblo for student crowd and Escazu for high end crowd. All the gringos are in Escazu so you will have no novelty factor there.

Ticas are generally gringo friendly so that is a big plus.

Panama City is far more impressive than San Jose - it has better restaurants/clubs. The girls are hotter and there is less of the hooker thing going on.

I've also been to David - not worth going to.

San Jose definitely sucks and prostitution is pretty rampant. Spend as little time there as possible.

I was there for a day or so with family and though the town was pretty ugly, the girls seemed pretty receptive. Would never want to live there though.

For diving and snorkeling you should check out Belize. Check out Caye Caulker and San Pedro. Winter is tourist season, the rest of the year is pretty quiet. Most of the people spend their time fishing, drinking and talking shit about everyone else on the island. If you're not an avid diver but want a good experience I suggest going out to Hol Chan and swimming with the sharks and manta rays.

I have been living in heredia for a few months...... honestly its great... p4p is only rampant IME in Jaco, sure there are a lot of girls in SJ who will play that game, they are "models" but really just whores, but I rarely run into them as I hang out in the local spots. Not the dive bars but the good spots. All the places I mentioned are 95% free of working girls.

Hey! Easy on Jaco! Yes, lots of pros and gringos (which is a good thing for some with limited game, cash, youth/health, spanish/salsa skills and time) but lots of good girls too that work in the bars, restaurants, etc. Lots of Euro-muff, just a fun place and fairly pretty-much safe (still keep it real at night). $2 beers on the beach with surf right out front. I feel its a good intro. for anyone thats never been south and speaks little or no spanish. Fairly cheap, I always feel like I double my money in Jaco... EXAMPLE: if you go with 5 K U.S. it feels like you got 10K.

Agree with Purple on Jaco and San Jose-P4P, especially at Hotel Del Rey.

Lots of Colombian girls in Jaco trying to bill you for time. Do go by the University District to get game in San Jose. Lots of pubs and bars. Unfortunately I had to get a CR (tica) flag in DC years later.

My wingman and I nailed two DF (mexico city) girls in Acapulco several years ago. With the drug wars escalating, I am not so current on the situation.

On a different topic, I will be visiting Panama City from 17-23 NOV to visit some friends who have relocated there from DC. I will be looking to stay in a pension that is tourist friendly-recommendations from previous travelers? I am 45+ and speak Spanish and can pull in the chicas.

I plan on hooking up with the Panama City Hash (international running group) and meet some locals. 80% of runners are local Panamanians. The PCH3 Hash run is on Monday nights.

Anyone interested on winging it during that time-frame in PC, LMK.

I lived in San Jose and while it is big on P4P it is not a problem to meet regular girls. And many do not have any hang ups, in fact it is as if some may even view the P4P scene as competition with their performance. If you go and stay in San Jose, check out El Pueblo, La Calle Amargura, Mall San Pedro, Bull Dogs also Chubbs sportsbar up the street from the Del Rey. Local girls go there, it is also fun to watch how the regular girls will cross the street when they near the Del Rey. Plus it the Del Rey is something to check out if only to stop in for a beer. el pueblo isnt bad. i went there 3 times.

calle amargura is where its at. i loved the 3 story bar/club type place.

me and my buddy pre gamed at the del rey almost every night hoping one of the bitches would go back to the hotel sin dinero. but no luck on that front.

the place across the street (beside) from the del rey is alot of fun. lots of salsa and bachata with a live band with alil bit of reggeaton.

Yeah that place across the street is the Key Largo is a part of the Del Rey complex. If enough time is spent pre gaming at the Del Rey you will find one once in a blue moon who will leave without looking for money. That is if you can give them a good time else where. Thus spending money on them again. Best off accepting what those places are and enjoy them for what they are.
