Whoa Crystals Cave in Mexico looks intense, I can only imagine what it would be like under the influence of psychadelics!

The trippiest landscapes I've seen are probably the national park Rincon de la Vieja, Costa Rica. The Cappadoccia region of Turkey. The Sahara Desert and Dades Valley in Morocco.

They have those caves near Playa del Carmen. They are called 'Cenotes.' Hopefully I'll find time to check them out before NYE celebrations. I get there on 12/29 so there's hope...

I've been to Bora Bora... its amazing... but these other places seem like they came out of a fantasy novel. So cool.

Actually cenotes are quite different than the Crystal Caves. Cenotes are basically sinkholes or underground caves, there are a lot of cool ones in the Yucatan peninsula. Cenotes are full of water, I believe usually from springs or underground rivers and streams that often connect to the ocean. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cenote

While the caves of the cenotes have stalagtites and whatnot, they are quite different than the crystal cave. The crystal cave is in an entirely different region of Mexico and isn't filled with water like a cenote. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cave_of_the_Crystals

I visited a well known cenote outside of PDC, called Dos Ojos, and I recommend checking it out, it was amazing. http://www.cenotedosojos.com/cenote_info.htm

Damn, all the pics of places didn't download the first time I looked at that list. I'm proud to say that I've been to 8 of the spots on there, and hopefully more in the years to come.

i would add Meteora, Greece in that list. is one of the most stunning places i've ever visited.
