I think game is the key distinction here. A lot of guys have really, really bad, almost nonexistent game. Their whole game is basically "hey baby, ur hot, wanna have sex?" then a dick pic. There's not enough sexual tension first, not enough attraction built. She just writes him off as a pervert loser with no social skills. The guys treat girls like other guys, and assume they're going to be just as turned on, at the outset, by a dick as we are if a girl sends us an ass pic. If you build a little interest first though, it's completely different, and the dick shot can get her thinking about sex.

Edited to add: For the record, I've only tried the dick shot a couple of times. Once she told me I should be ashamed and she wasn't that kind of girl (yeah right.) The other one got horny and sent me a pussy shot. Usually I avoid anything sexual before I meet them, unless they bring it up.

I agree with all of this. If you can get away with sending a pic of your cock and she is still talking to you and wanting to meet up, the situation is a lot more sexualized and she is likely DTF. You have to set it up properly and is very situation dependent. I think it would work against you in the long run if you sent a dick pic to every girl you were talking to.
