Camcorder for low light bedroom filming
Looking for suggestions on camcorders. Recently had my first MFF threesome, and we are getting together for an encore performance, and I need to record this shit for posterity.

Criteria:
- good low light performance
- small or discreet/stealth
- can be operated in silent mode
- uses SD cards

Disclaimer: Anyone considering doing this should make sure recording without the other party(ies)'s consent is legal in your jurisdiction. And obviously, using such a recording for commercial purposes without consent of all parties is illegal in all US jurisdictions.

Why not just use your cell? My iPhone records video just fine in lowlight conditions (1080P). It's small and can be operated in silent mode. As long as the room isn't TOO dark it should work just fine.

Need something that operates better in low light, like candlelight (I have an Android phone). Also, I want something set up and recording before I bring the chicks back. I don't want to be trying to set my phone up while they're at my place.

I assume these are expensive. I'm looking for something < $250. And used camcorders are fine.

It says it has good low-light recording. Try and find some test footage

ETA: Install a dimmer on your light switch. Take whatever cam you buy and do some testing to figure out a good balance between ambiance and how much detail you want the camera to see.

They'll all say that, but low light is one of the toughest conditions for camcorders to perform well in. Hoping to hear some user feedback. I'm sure I'm not the only RVF member who has looked into this . . .

Good idea. I was planning on doing the same sort of in-advance testing using candles - i.e., seeing how few candles I can use and still get a satisfactory level of detail.
