I didn't write this but I thought you guys would enjoy it .

Interesting post. I sometimes reference the Ford Escort in real life because it was once the best-selling car in the United States (and possibly the world), yet hasn't been made for almost a decade. Because of confidence issues and other shortcomings, many guys will never even come close to test driving a women who is comparable to a Ferrari. Many guys would be lucky to even get a women who is comparable to a beat up Ford Escort.[/align]

I try so hard to convince my buddies to come overseas with me to the point where they say I should leave law and become a travel agent. But it almost always fails. They have some sort of obsession with the women here and don't see the bright lights abroad. I can't possibly understand this perspective but it seems 99% of guys have it. If anyone has some tips for convincing people to take the leap let me know and I will happily use / test them out amongst my friends. In every 4 month trip I take, I may get 1 visitor from back home despite trying to convince dozens.

A source on that quote would be great, haha.

I mean, a Ford Escort hand me down for a temporary period isn't so bad. However, a down payment, monthly payment, maintenance costs, oil changes, new tires, yearly inspection fees, insurance, and registration costs over a long or even short hall is meh.

Now take think of that as using your 20s and 30s on a Ford Escort..no wait...American woman to shell out dollars for a wedding ring, expensive wedding, mortgage, kids, nonsense compromises and then pricey divorce settlement.

I'm pretty sure there might be better correlations than that out there, but that was the first thing that came to my mind.

And @lavidaloca...can advise your friends but can't want something for them..haha.

in that I'd rather ride my bicycle.

Actually, I'd like to drive Ford Escorts that European markets got - the ones that were made into rally cars. I'd drive those.

But then they're still like American women in that... well, you don't want the USDM market Escort, but one form Europe might not be so bad.

She is the equivalent of mad max's interceptor, I got her new drove her right off the lot. Unfortunately they've stopped manufacturing her brand and so they are becoming something of a collector's item.

I love that new car smell.
