No doubt, but understand that San Diego is basically one big suburb. It is not a cosmopolitan city - it is more an outpost in the corner of the country in its own little bubble.

Building a "real deal club" there would be a money pit, as most people there only go out to those type of venues on weekends. The Down Economy crushed peoples disposable income there as the economy is so heavily tied to tourism and real estate. And nightlife costs (and other costs) are on par with LA and Las Vegas; and far more weesh.

Not surprising. San Diego girls are not welcoming, generally speaking to outsiders. There is a lot of "locals" mentality there, even people that have moved there 6 months previous have it. It is pretty funny.

I would be impressed with anyone that went to San Diego, cold, and swooped a fly local on a short stay. And if they did it once, I would be real surprised if they could repeat the trick again. And again.

Percentages of that happening are real low in comparison to most all other US cities.

In fact, I am hard pressed to think of a city in America where it would be harder.

Interesting that you say this, I have a Data Sheet coming soon comparing CA Game VS FL Game.

I think many will find it interesting, I know I did.

The Asian fever thing kind of throws it for a loop though.

There are some fly half Filipina half white girls in San Diego, but kind of hard to get a line on.

OC, LA and SF are good for Asian girls, although this is coming from someone who doesn't claim expertise with Asian girls.

Miami Beach, I never run into Asians, but that could be because whenever I am there I skew towards Cubanas, Colombianas and other Latinas. And Russian girls.

I just back a little over a month ago from living in Sao Paulo and I'm living in San Diego right now. I went to Voyeur last thursday night. That place is pretty sick. I swooped some asian chick that I approached on the dance floor. About the asian fever thing I've noticed there are a lot of cute asian girls that go out in the gas lamp district. I avoid Ocean beach or Pacific beach for nightlife because of the abundance of scaliwags in flip flops and G has mentioned the ratio is bad.

I'm currently living in San Diego right now. I just want to give some advice to fellow board members that might travel here. Pacific Beach is super whack to go out to at night. It is the West Coast version of Jersey Shore. I went out there with a couple friends who were in town last weekend and we went to a bar called Plumcrazy and it was full of trolls and bitches eating buttered popcorn. We then went to Miller Field and there were probably 3 7s and a bunch of foul scaliwags.

It can be good on Thursday nights if a lot of USD girls go out. A lot of people here run social circle game because a lot of USD students live in Mission or Pacific beach. If you know people who live down there or go to USD (I have a family member that goes there) it can be decent. I hear Northpark is decent but haven't gone out there. I usually go out in downtown and the quality is a lot better.

Pretty cool and accurate SD thread. I'll add some insights from the 5 years I lived there:

PB girls fall into one of two categories. The first one is college girls who are using PB as a dorm. "I'm living at the beach!!!! <3 SDSU" is plastered all over their twitter. They generally have their own closed circle as a result of every transplant guy hitting on them at Bub's or Typhoon Saloon on Wednesday. I'm friends with guys in a locally famous "bro reggae" band and even they have difficultly pulling from this crowd. I'd say it would help to be in their social circle. Or a bartender....

The second group are the transplants from the Midwest and states where it's cold as fuck. These girls moved to SoCal to "live the dream". Fannypack - start out by renting a place down on the Mission Beach boardwalk next to where they all live. Head out to the 'Comber around 12:30 AM on a Saturday. Spit.

For true black belt USD game, get a job teaching some adjunct class there.

Typhoon Saloon may be the worst bar in America. If you're stuck in PB on a Wednesday, head for The Dog. Thursday in PB start at PB Fish House on Garnet and Jewell - they have dollar oysters (good selection, too) from 4 PM on and the waitresses/clientele are both hot. Get there early unless you like waiting a long time to get served.

Mondays try Alexander's in North Park for happy hour. Dollar slices of pizza and beers and it's usually filled with a good cross-section of attractive young professionals.

If you surf, every transplant chick you meet will demand you teach her to surf. It would be a good be a great way to game girls, except that one in fifty will actually bother showing up at the beach and that one will get hit in the head with the board and hate it ten minutes in. It got to be a running joke among our crew, mostly because we cared more about surfing to begin with than we did about the identical girls with their identical request.

If you don't surf, buy a 6'2" thruster off Craigslist and put it against the wall of your apartment. The girls won't know the difference, and you didn't have a shot in hell to swoop those that do to begin with.

Fellow San Diegan here who lives on Mission Bay near the PB hotspots. I'm in my early 30s and share a duplex with my best friend from high school (rent's real cheap), otherwise I would've moved out of this crummy area long ago to a place like Bird Rock. I like to hit up Tourmaline and LaJolla Shores, and Bird Rock lies equidistant from those two breaks.

Thanks for all the info on this town. I have a serious girlfriend, so I haven't been hitting up these places with relative frequency, but Pacific Beach should not be used as a launching pad for slamming girls. Unless you have great logistics (house near Garnet), are younger, and have a social circle, it is best avoided.

G, you still think that San Diego should be avoided during the Fall/Winter/Spring time, because the Del Mar racetrack is where it's at, right? I've entered the age and income level where rolling with the people there is possible.

Pacific Beach right now is really dead by the way. It's cold outside, so everybody's "shivering", but I haven't seen many people out and about the last few weeks.

All this being said, I love this town. Everybody does their activities, whether it be surfing, exercising, eating, or drinking, during the daytime, and we go to bed early at night. Lively music scene. Tons of hipsters that I can make fun of, but then eat and drink at their establishments in Northpark/Southpark/Golden Hill (I really like Turf Supper Club). I have not run into asshole policemen yet, but it seems that pursuant to G they are out and about.

Yep, that's where my pops grew up surfing. I was born in San Clemente (My family moved to Vegas when I was 7) and spent a lot of time there every year up until a couple years ago. I still have my whole dads side of the family there and San Juan. Last time I was there was 2010. I'm not a great surfer. I wish I had more opprotunity to surf when I was in SoFlo but the waves just usually weren't there.

Nice roots bro. SJC - Good place to have family! I was living in Newport when I moved down to Miami. You can get occasional waves by govt cut and haulover, but after surfing the west coast for years it's boring. You have to go 100 miles up the coast to start hitting more consistent surf.

You're right though, it is very rare to come across Asian girls in Miami. But Southern California is flooded. ESPECIALLY a place like Irvine, though there isn't much to do in Irvine. I think it's somewhere close to 50% Asian population. My stepmother is Japanese and she took us to an area that was heavily populated by Asians, don't know the exact city as they all run together out there, but I know it was a little inland, south of Seal Beach and North of Hunington. I feel like there are a lot in LA as well, but I haven't spent much time there.

Yeah, a buddy of mine from Venezuela used to surf whenever he could out in MIA, he said you could surf often down by South Point. I just didn't have the equipment and figured it was hardly ever good enough to invest. I preffer the beach scene much more in Cali than SoFlo.
