It's like mastrubating. The more you do it the more you get use to it until eventually that's all you do. Try your best to mix it up. Face to face notches improve your social skills, and you'll have better chances at hotter girls since most girls won't just walk away from you like they would during an online convo. You have a chance to wow them face to face.

The girls I'm pulling online are easily 1-2 points less than I pull in real life. I closed my online account 10 days ago. Back to the "mean streets" for 2013. Once I get a few IRL notches I may supplement again with online.

Not to get off topic but i think it would be badass to go guerilla for a while. A 3 month experiment maybe? No FB, no online dating, and reduced texting. Reduce all the cyber attention whoring that the hamsters have been getting lately. Meet in real life, talk on the phone. No IM's, no FB, no dozens of weak ass text messages with LOL's and :-). Is it possible? Is there too much competition? Is it too early for a real change?

I've been on quite a few online-to-real-life dates, and it does not compare to actually going out and meeting a girl and getting that accomplished feeling.

One fundamental difference is you ALREADY know she is interested in you or else she wouldn't dedicate part of her day to meeting you in real life. This makes you more comfortable and ready to game her upon meeting.

I suggest trying a mental exercise of treating every potential approach in real life as if you did meet them online, and even if they are cold, tell yourself that she was into you before, you just have to warm up to her.

It worked for me when I moved into "real life" territory, but I'm aware it might be harder for others. Regardless, it is an interesting exercise in frame control nonetheless.
