So I've been banging this chick for the past couple of weeks, and we've done boyfriend/girlfriend type stuff. I wouldn't mind keeping her as a gf but I'm not pushing for anything before she brings it up.

So I tell her my friends aren't going out tonight and that we should get drunk and smash. She says she's going out with her friends but I can come along.

What would you guys do? I don't really want to meet her friends as they'll judge the fuck out of me, but I don't want to bail as she knows I have no other plans and it makes me look too antisocial.

It seems you've become too comfortable with the relationship. Telling her "we should get drunk and smash" wasnt the best of ideas. First you're already telling her what you're planning to do waaay ahead of schedule, thus leaving any mystery out of the date. Secondly, even though you "told her" it still comes across as a form of begging because she can always say no and ultimately refuse you sex since she knows that is what you want. Also telling her your friend werent going out tonight wasnt too smart. Its none of her business what your friends are doing(if anything they can always be used as an excuse to bail).

My advice would be to go out w/her but dont get your hopes high for getting laid that night. Go out and "try" to have some fun. Keep in mind though as soon as her friends are done analyzing and interrogating you you'll most likely be given the third wheel treatment, after all this kind of is a girls night out. As for her friends you better hope they arent fat ugly cockblockers. Run some very light game on them and hope it takes effect in your favor.

My precise wording was "want to get smashed and make some bad decisions?" so it wasn't as overt as "let's get drunk and have sex" but I probably agree with you somewhat.

I don't know man. I can feel myself starting to get oneitis, but this chick is pretty cool, loves sex, and is sweet. I'm trying to remain as emotionally distant as possible but it's getting tougher.

I think I will go out tonight and be a bit aloof, whilst lightly gaming her friends and maybe even eye-fucking some random girls around the bar just for the confidence boost. It's just going to be weird when they have so many inside jokes and stories and I'm the outsider.

Good call. I haven't responded to her yet, so I'll hit her with that when she asks me again. It seems tempting at first, but there's absolutely nothing good that can come from meeting her friends.

Oh and if you're gonna send that text and tell her you might meet up with them later, don't meet up with them later. You've already chased her, and she expects you to try see her and come calling. Just fuck her off for the night now, tell her you're going out with your mates and you might see her later but if you end up staying in jacking off, she's none the wiser. Not seeing you will stir things up in her head the right way for you.

He's been seeing her for a couple of weeks so I don't doubt that he will get laid at the end of the night if he goes. It's not about that though. He's lost a bit of his frame chasing her to go out and he needs to get it back by showing that even though she's given him the choice to go see her, he's not arsed by it and will go out with his mates instead. The "might see you lot later" gets her thinking when he doesn't show up. "Why didn't he show? Was he having fun with other girls?" Etc etc.

So much good yet conflicting advice in this thread.

Basically I went full beta with this one. I can feel the hot, flaming dagger of oneitis slicing its way into my heart. If I go meet her tonight, I will be off my game and be miserable and make a bad impression. I'm not in a good mindset to make her friends love me right now.

I wound up texting her "I might not be able to get there til after 12" to which she responded "okay, just text before to make sure we're still there". So I'm going out with my friend and will hit on a bunch of chicks, then if I'm feeling back to my old self, then I'll meet up. If I still feel like a pussy then I'll say something like I can't make it.

Fuck man, I was doing so well but this holiday shit always trips me up.

You are already having sex with her. Dont sweat it.

However in this case I would not go. These types of nights out with all her friends are usually a bust and then you are forced to see drama unfold that might taint your good image of her.

Not sure how old you or she is, but that makes a difference as well. Perhaps its my high interest in people, but when I meet a cool girl, I look forward to meeting her friends. They are often interesting and cool people as well. Think of it as networking (although not all relationships end on good terms).

Or if you really dont want to go out with her friends, or feel the timing is not right, tell her that you would love to meet her friends, but perhaps some other day because you where feeling a bit tired from work and had planned staying in, having a couple of beers and just relaxing. She is more than welcome to join you later.

And please, please, tell me that you are not using the word "smash" to refer to sex around her.
