Myself, my ex, her dad, her dad's gf and her dad's gf's son and 3 friends were there. My ex told me alone that she saw me do it. Of course the Mom is not going to accuse her son or bf's daughter. I don't even remember being inside the house hence being blacked out. I didn't have the money on me so obviously even if she saw me in the purse I didn't take it. Its retarded.

To clarify: myself and my ex were downstairs by the purse (supposedly). Her dad and his gf and her son and friends were upstairs. According to the story the dad and gf came downstairs and her purse/wallet were open. They asked my ex and she said she didn't know so they accused me. This would make sense because my ex said even though she saw me do it she told them she didn't see anything thus "not throwing me under the bus". I was blacked the fuck out so who really knows. On top of this everybody has been drinking for hours so to be honest I think it was one big clusterfuck and everyone should have chalked the entire night up to too many drinks and moved on with life.

• They said you stole $400, which you don't remember.
• You don't need the $400.
• No one ever found the $400 on you.
• Your gf said she saw you do it.
• She didn't stop you.
• She didn't tell anyone but you.
• It wasn't there the next morning either.
  

1) No way in hell I would have coughed up that $400.

2) I'd be looking real close at the gf right now if I was looking for that money.

This was my first thought, but I was fearful of telling him what I would do if this was me -- if it's done wrong, it's a huge fail.

I would:

1. Ignore her first initiated text. Forever.

Then go dark.

She stole the money. I have no doubt about it. Then she didn't "throw him under the bus" but she didn't turn herself in.

Everyone's consensus seems to be to go cold/bail. If anyone wants to add advice feel free. For now going to take the advice and do the following:

-NOT initiate contact

-IF she contacts me, NOT respond for a couple days after she contacts me. When I respond going to play it cool as ice. I already layed it out there tried to go the logical way and of course that didn't work because she's a girl. So if she does contact me going to have her come over and bang. That would reestablish the frame without me doing anything for her.

-I'll update IF anything happens

Well did you or didn't you take the money? If you were blacked out drunk then you had to be doing all sorts of shit worthy of being broken up with. Why is she saying she saw you? It's either to bluff you or to blame you or you actually did it. If we presume you're innocent then it was to bluff you, that seems unlikely so it's to blame you. If it's to blame you then it was her.

Her not stealing money from you doesn't mean anything.

She's never shown to be a liar. She said she saw me. I don't know what happened because obviously I was blacked out. IF i did take the money but didn't have it on me when the cops came then the money will show up in the house at some point. It was a huge house, pool, patio etc. I don't think she would falsely accuse me. I've been known to play pranks on people when I'm drunk so if anything in my drunkin state if she saw me do that then perhaps I thought I would play a prank I don't know. The point is people do stupid shit when they're beyond wasted. She knows I'm not a thief, don't need to be, it's just not who I am. I didn't have the money on me so obviously I couldn't have left the house with it. That's what I tried to explain to her but logic has never worked on this girl anyway.

The more I discuss this I realize how fucking stupid it is. We all got drunk; shit happens at house parties. Yes, I shouldn't have gotten smashed but I can't take it back now.

My thing is she broke up with me because she said I 'stole money', embarrassed her in front of her family and must not be who I've presented myself to be. Logic and actions of the last 5 months are not going to work on this girl. Game will, because game and alot of it is what got her in the beginning. Her hamster is a spinner and I think the not contacting her will get it spinning. Also, I think it's total bullshit that she would break up with me over a drunkin night but whatever it's her loss.

Okay... Theory: You say that your girl is very connected to her mom. Her mom tosses her around etc. etc. What if her mom told her to steal from her dad's new gf... Like some kind of revenge because she is angry at his new gf? After all, her mom IS pretty fucked up and your girl seems kind of manipulated by her mom. Bet her mom was angry and jealous that your girl got to hang out with your dad's new gf. She needed a guarantee so your dad's new gf wouldn't replace her as the new mom. She lost her husband (bet he is alpha), now she doesn't want to loose her only, precious daughter as well.
