Hmm.. Would need to do some research, are any of the members mentioned in this thread still in DR? Even though my body, attitude and confidence probably would get me a long way, riding solo without social proof would require some effort.

I'm back home now. Nothing too crazy went down, banged fewer chicks but had more sex. Still not a lot of nightgame success. I would advise going for numbers at night and follow up the next day with date/bang...unless you're Fisto. I Spent the last 3 or 4 days with the same chick, and the whole week in Santiago. Looking back on it I got a little complacent.

Rover and Patron have the life because they're living down there, and can afford to take their time to be selective and balance all the women. I am still finding it a bit stressful to juggle all of them yet at the same time being concerned about wasting time due to flaking etc... when you are only there for a week. You also wind up paying for more shit because time is an issue, a foreign idea to dominicans.

Right on, the DR does not really have the ONS culture, but it's super easy to get numbers and arrange a date the next day. When you meet a girl in a club, she'd typically be there with a group of her friends/family and if she goes home alone with a gringo she'd just met, she'll be labeled cuero by her circle. What works best for ONS is to go with a wing and try to pick a set of 2 or 3 and then try to take them to your place and go from there.

I was in the DR for two weeks and felt a strong connection with a lot of the people. I felt a certain level of LOVE for a few of the girls. It's a special place. I just left Thailand after 6 weeks and nothing came close.

I'm glad you met Robert. The guy is just as cool as they come. Mechanico is right, he is the swiss army knife of backup. Can't wait to hear what happened.

This really makes me want to go there now...it's a hell of a lot closer and cheaper, and I suspect the Latinas have a certain depth that the Thai girls (and other SEA girls) lack.

The girls are more passionate in the DR. Your value as a foreigner is higher. Girls aren't so intimidate and will go out of their way to make you notice them. They both have their pros and cons but that's what stands out to me.

What he said, the girls are more alive, more fire, better bodies, and I guess the language being attainable is a big plus. Any dolt should be able to become semi gringo fluent in spanish. Diversity in the women is nice too ranging from white to black to morena in between. And the women are better liars in Thailand. DR girls will talk back to you but still clean your house regardless.

I spent 1.5 months in Thailand (+2 weeks in Laos) and over a month in DR. Some observations so far:

1. DR is pretty fun. It seems like the island could provide lifetimes of adventure. Its the people, they're restless. Thailand was more asian cool.
2. This place is strange. I don't even know where to begin.
3. There are some HOT women. Generally much better bodies than Thailand as far as curves, though Thailand had less overweight as I recall (been 10 years). Its not like every girl is that attractive here in DR, but plenty are.
4. Its loud. Motorcycles, horns, etc. Residential areas aren't too bad.
5. Both seem equal as far as crime. I was kidnapped for a few hours in Thailand so maybe that skews my perspective. Also, Thailand felt like human life was a little too much of a commodity. Sex slave whorehouses disguised as office buildings and girls dressed as pageant contestants behind one way mirrors.

I've been in Cabarete, and about 90% of the local girls in the bars at night want $25 to take them home. In Thailand it was easy for me to shore them (ie not pay). Here, no luck so far, though FreshCream has. It seems mainly the non pro dominican girls out at night here are visiting for the weekend from Santiago. You can spot them because they are usually in groups of 3 or more and are often hotter than the local girls. I don't have any stories about out of town girls yet, but Fresh Cream might...

Daygame possibilities here too for non pros. I met some older foreign guys talking about how Cabarete was more expensive than Sosua. The plus side is that it means there are decent jobs for women so that they don't all have to be pros. There's quite a few cashiers and waitresses i've been meaning to proposition...

I like Cabarete overall though, decent nightlife yet in a natural surrounding. I've rented a 2 bedroom apartment ($300 a month) till April 10th, the other room may be available if anyone is on a budget. No a/c or hot water, but just got wifi! By the way, there are lots of cheap apartments here and you can haggle for the exact lease length you want. And no lease to sign (for me).

My apology if the 2 places below where mentioned but I was in Punta Cana last Nov.

1) Mangu - check to see what night is best and it does not get busy until late like almost 1-2am. Good crowd but also lots of working girls but you can pull a girl with some game. If helps a lot of you can latin dance.

2) Club at the Hard Rock - the #1 club in PC with a total Vegas style feel. I was there on a Friday and saw ton's of girls, who were mainly tourists. Also lots local guys there to trying to pick up the girls too.
