Something that's been bothering me.

Went to a college dive bar. At least 1/3 girls in there were on the slightly thick to chunky to obese side. And these were girls in their early 20s. I saw more fat girls in there than in my 2 weeks in Europe.

Then I looked around at the guys. Every guy at the club was at least slim or fit and in shape.

I used to think fat girls go to clubs. Fat guys stay at home. But there are just a lot more fat chicks than fat guys in the general population too.

Why is this? If guys can stay in shape why can't girls?

Girls can get still get attention while being overweight in this US. And if anyone dares suggest that eating that extra bowl of cookie dough isn't a good idea - she (and beta males) can simply employ anti-fat shaming tactics. Actually, ever notice that the anti-fat shaming movement is mostly female? I don't see too many fat men involved with it.

I did a post on this here. Women are easily TWICE as fat as men - women's actual waist sizes are about twice as far from ideal as men's are. AND men deposit more of their fat around their waist than women do, who deposit more fat in their upper arms, back and hips. I have data that says exactly this, but I am not at a computer.

BMI is okay for assessing population wide obesity but the way it's used is horseshit. Basically, a man who has BMI of 25 is a lot less likely to be obese than a woman who has a BMI of 25, because the average body fat% of such a man is farther from the body fat % obesity threshold than for a corresponding woman. Eg, the obesity cutoff for men and women is roughly 25% and 30% respectively, and a man at BMI 25 might be at 22% BF while a woman of the same BMI is at 32% BF.

If you look at girls who don't lift or play sports, even a 21 BMI is a little chubby, and 23-25 BMI definitely is. But according to conventional health guidelines, that's healthy for women. Which is complete nonsense. If a girl works out and has some muscle, she can be up to a 22 BMI and still look good. Alexis Texas, a pornstar known for having a huge ass and thick overall, is only about a 20 BMI.

women is the us are financially secure generally speaking so they dont need men to take care of them like they do in poorer countries. so they can basically start selecting men for sex not for his ability to provide or be a good father(there is no sigma in us of being a single mom). also the generous child support and alimony sets married women in the us up for gaining weight after marriage as the HUSBANDs lose financially if they divorce her for said weight gain. basically US housewives can get away with it and they do consider 70-80% of divorces issued by women in the US and thats basically because men realize they are fucked in the event of divorce.

but most dudes arent super muscular so wouldnt it be accurate for the most part.

The answer to the original question seems pretty obvious to me.
How many women have you seen running a weed whacker?
How many of your female coworkers came into work on a Monday morning and said they split a cord of firewood with an ax over the weekend?
How many of you have noticed that 99.99% of the shit sold on late night infomercials is marketed to women? How many of those products are intended to be shortcut solutions to non-problems, or to simply make bullshit tasks even easier than they already are?

Look at women's health and fitness programs. What do they all promise and always fail to deliver? They promise a super model body in 30 minutes, and the whole routine is nothing but a fucking gimmick. So they fail to deliver results. Yes I'm referring to that Curves Fitness bullshit that exploded a few years ago, and is now dying out. Compounding the issue is the fact that most women lack the attention span to commit to more than a 30 minute workout 2-3 times/week for more than a month or two.

Female obesity is really no mystery to me.

The sad reality is that no matter how fat a woman gets, she will still have male suitors. It is bizarre how mondo the disparity is, though, out here in the US.

Fat girls can get laid, fat guys unless they have other stuff going for them usually do not. The market rewards lazy women, lazy men get left screwing their hand or a fat chic if they are lucky. The only exception would be a LTR where you can let yourself go to a certain extent
