When people get older they don't just lose their looks. People, even fans of the comics, always point out the aunt May and uncle Ben in the comics are too old to be his aunt and uncle.

It has to do more with contract, given the Marvel Cinematic Universe depends a lot on actors coming back to new movies and making cameos in some, they don't want to risk putting a old actress who will more likely be death soon.

Take the last two Aunts May, Sally Field is now 71, and Rosemary Harris is 90. Marvel/Disney can't take the risk of casting women their age for a franchise they want to run for many many and many years to come.

Look what happened with Carrie Fisher, she died unsuspectingly while The Last Jedi was still in production, now they will retire her character somehow in the next movie, but they already got rid off Han Solo in Episode VII,. This is Disney getting rid off all actors who don have exactly decades of work in the future.

She still has the same vibe as when she was in her twenties.

It is an amazing bit of personal brand conservation, but do you want to be around a 59 year old who acts like she is twenty?

I used to listen to the Alison Rosen podcast because the way she talked reminded me of a college girlfriend.

One day I asked myself what kind of woman in her forties still talks like she is in her early twenties, and my listenership naturally fell off.

Wall survival is an amazing bit of mimicry, like a tranny who can fool the average joe, but there is still no real substitute for youth.
