Honestly, I can't blame him too much for that. Once he started having kids, he started making films that they could watch. And he did get nominated for an Oscar for his role in "Dreamgirls." I never could have imagined him getting a nom for acting. Now that his kids are older, I'd love to see him get into some grittier stuff, or even go back to doing standup specials. He should have a ton of new material culled from the past 20 years or so.
