In the nineties it was most guys view that a women was hot if her weight was between 45-60kg at height from 5''-5-10. That was just a general rule on how most women were viewed lookswise, in otherwords she had to be slim. Today even though there is widespread obesity and one may argue less hotties around because of it, there is a kind of paradox, where there is this emergence of hot shapely curvy women. Sports may have a lot to do with it and the gym. Only a small proportion of women workout seriously with weights and while crossfit has helped there is a quiet revolution going on in regard to how women train and view going to the gym. I do agree that rivalry and not the desire to please men is more of a motivator for many women.
