What's not mentioned enough with online pickup is speed and momentum.

No matter how good your pics, profile, opener, and messages are - if you let too much time pass, you will not close and get the number/meetup.

You want to race through it as quickly as possible. Just got an IOI online, ask for the number and date. Got the number, get her to meetup in the next couple days. No messaging periodically over a couple of weeks. The fact is, less good looking guy with crappy profile who escalates faster may well win.

I can confirm this works pretty good, only as an opener though. Afterwards you have to have skill or a strategy to keep the playful momentum up. Particularly, for a black dude, it weeds out the chicks that are open to IR and the ones that aren't (yes our kids would look sooooo cute). Just got a number off it and am moving the convo to whatsapp. Thanks again rooshforum!!

What'd I say? No-game lurkers are always looking for the magic bullet. The craziest part is that they probably didn't change so much as a comma in it; they lifted it verbatim (copy-paste). Their no-game-ness borders on superstition: "This line worked. If I change anything, it won't work." Guys don't understand the mechanics behind any opener or conversation, online or otherwise. So true. Even if the line works, they don't know why it works, and aren't the kind of person who'd naturally say something like that.

If you are that kind of person, you can open with "hi." Even online, if your profile/pics are tight, then you can just say, "hey, you seem like an attractive person. Wanna meetup sometime this week?" and get a number.
