When I had a trainer he said he's making roughly $20 out of it.

That's pretty sad, even if it was after-taxes and self-insurance.

@clr: I got a boner once while wrestling a sweaty dude does that count? Wink j/k

@Killer: They don't get paid that much...$50 for an hour session, sure but a % goes to the house and they might only get a few clients a day. Of course if you could keep 100% of your cash for 8 hours every day, 5-6 days a week you would be doing pretty damn good for yourself, but that is almost never the case.

RE: Personal Trainer
I think yoga instructor beats personal trainer. Hot young chicks and hot older chicks are all into yoga. Then you get the new age hippie girls who want to explore spirituality and meditation.

Besides, with some of the poses that these girls have to do in front of you, combined with the tight yoga pants they wear, it leaves very little to the imagination.

It depends where you live and if you work for a chain gym or as a independent Trainer ( you keep that $50 a hour , but you will have to pay rent at a gym , like $450 a month ). This guy has a blog set up to gave you ideas on how to make 6 figures a year.

He started out in the fitness worlds , being a slave for $8 a hour , now hes making bank. Last year I went for my cert, but wasn;t interested in the politics involved.

When I had a trainer he said he's making roughly $20 out of it.

And that is per hour, they might only get 20 paid hours a week out of it but have to spend 60 at the gym trying to wrangle new clients.

Most of the gyms I've joined all gave you a few free sessions with their trainers too, so they didn't get much if anything out of all those.

Seems to be that, working at a personal fitness trainer kills both birds with one stone.

I dont know anyone who works as one though. Do you guys?

Do these guys get laid a lot?

Yea, I use to be a personal trainer. I banged a few of my clients. It's fairly easy to get laid when you have a cool personality, excellent communication skills, look good and you are in shape.
