RE: Hurricane Sandy-Where Are You?
My power went out around 8pm on Monday, and the internet went down early Tuesday afternoon. My internet is back up, but no power. Fortunately my area didn't get much in the way of rain, but I have never heard the wind blow so hard. I thought my windows were going to blow out and I'm pretty sure I heard my frame starting to get pulled apart. Fortunately it was mostly gusty and not sustained.

I flipped out on my neighbor because she was crying about the power being out. She was complaining by saying "What do they expect us to do? The storm wasn't even that bad." So I checked her by saying she could be living by the shore and be fucking dead. She said a few other stupid things too, then I refused to charge her iPod because I don't let Mac products touch my computer. In these dark times, a man has to have principles.

Fuck you on getting your power, I still haven't gotten mine back yet. At least I don't have to shovel snow.

RE: Hurricane Sandy-Where Are You?
I dont go to Hooters. Its not my posion(chicken wing are...ok) . But my daily commute to newark (taking rt 22 east of course) consist of passing my gas stations and resteraunts...alot of them are open.

I know AMC theatre mountainside were open in the begining of the storm hence generators. Very fucking smart.
I will make a complaint to certain gas stations for raising the bloody prices.Thats word on my red, white & blue flag.
Not cool.

Never off topic bro lol

RE: Hurricane Sandy-Where Are You?
How much did your prices go up? My understanding was that some of the gas stations that remained open longer than a day had to raise prices because the gas was being shipped in from DE and PA. I think it was about 30 cents/gal.

I'm hardly pissed about it, it's more of an annoyance than anything else. The only thing that really bothers me was all of the boomers pissing and moaning on day 3. They said it was coming, be prepared. I prepared. Now that people are getting power back they are bragging like they won the fucking Super Bowl.

I have a generator so I never really lost power, I just have to use a flashlight to get around certain areas of the house. Besides, the street lights being out makes it easier for me to sneak around the woods with my dog and smoke buds.

That's crazy about the siphoning of gas. In my area, people were stealing generators because they obviously didn't learn from Irene and the snowstorm in October last year. Nobody really fucks with me though, I live on a dead end street. If they did try to fuck with me, they would be meeting my dog (pit/rottweiler mix) as well as White Lighting (Louisville Slugger TPX 31/29).

My car is like a hybrid(not a hybrid), so Im able to go to places right off the nj turnpike...i hate the turnpike!
I paid $3.89 plus.Indian guy at the pump said "no more regular".
I wanted to call him out but I travelled so far.

RE: Hurricane Sandy-Where Are You?
I'm in Morris County. It snowed, just not enough to have to move it. With the gas, I just got up at 6am and went east about 20 miles and worked my way back west. I ended up waiting in line maybe 30 min. The guy who pumped my gas said that the line was 4 hours the day before. Shit was crazy. Yesterday I went right up to the pump, no wait. People can say what they want about Christie, but he got shit done with this crisis. He's got my vote if he runs for president in 2016.
