RE: Kaliningrad....
Anyone been to Kalingrad/ Koenigsberg recently?
If so how was it?
Tempted to go soon, looks very off-the beaten track.
@Roosh must've been on his trips to Poland and the Baltic States right?

RE: Kaliningrad....
I will be going there for the World Cup. Since it's very close to Poland.

Did anyone ever visit there lately? Any update?

When I was in Lithuania, I met a man who said that he enjoyed visiting the Kaliningrad Oblast because it was like going back in time. Apparently, very little has changed there since Soviet times compared to the rest of Russia. You still need a visa to visit. If you are a history buff it would be interesting to visit to experience the vibes of the Soviet Union, although the Russians have removed much of the history of Prussia and Konigsberg.

RE: Kaliningrad....
I was there last week during the world cup for just two days. I had a good thai massage, that was the most cool thing over there. The girls were not amazing on the square but im sure the locals are on other places. The weather was not good either so that was also a problem. I dont think its a place you should visit twice. From what i i have read the crime rates are pretty high in this part of Russia.

RE: Kaliningrad....
I was fortunate enough to shack up with a local while i was there for 3 days for the cup. Generally speaking parts of it are quite beautiful. She told me they've really cleaned it up for the cup (killed all the stray dogs and moved the homeless people along). Generally it's a pretty trashy and wild kind of place, has the highest aids rate of any city in Russia etc....

My girl was an international model who spoke english and Japanese fluently - remarkable for her 18 years. She showed me one or two cool cultural spots and gave me some intel. So my limited advise is as follows for anyone who finds themselves there:

Day game: Hit up the main square with the fountain and the large shopping mall opposite. Talent is rife here and you shouldn't have too much trouble finding girls. We did see lots of local russian guys gaming, along with tourists for the cup so it's not a no competition situation. Additionally Russian language is basically essential in this city. I was with a Russian speaking mate, and lucked out with my girl but wouldn't think that'd be easy to replicate.

Nightlife: the main club I heard of was called Platinum, it's apparently pretty easy for hookups with younger girls. To be honest we never really made it there and foucsed on day game given the insane atmosphere for the cup (Russia played one of the nights we were there)

Date venues: there's a cool little stretch of park about 10 minutes walk away from the main fountain square.near here is a cocktail/cafe/bookshop called Katarsis, and a hipster bar nextdoor. The super touristy area down by the canals is another option. There's a new outdoor bar on the canal (i think it's called DA) that popped up for the cup - a bit pricey for Kalin, but the girls are very impressed if you take them there, there's also descent talent roaming the area so insta dates shouldn't be too hard to create.

Generally i'd say I had a fantastic time because of her - the city is somewhat interesting for basically a day, but the Red Army blew up the main castle and built a horrendous looking concrete block in the middle instead (it's a unused landmark of great local ridicule). I would say that the great bounty of Russian women can better be extracted elsewhere so generally unless you're curious and feel like checking it out for a few days at most on your way from Poland or another Baltic local, i'd avoid going out of my way to get here.

After the cup i'd say your local novelty factor would be through the roof though - so i'd be keen to see what future adventurers find.
