Bad location
Until last summer, I had been progressing reasonably well in the game, but that all came to an end when I moved to the city I'm living in now.

There are some major obstacles in this area:

I live in a small hole-in-the-wall town that is near a small- to moderate-size city.

The city's population is 65% black. I don't mind dating black girls, but they're not my first choice. Only 11% of the population is in my age group. This is also a high-obesity area.

Almost all the girls around here seem to fall into one of two categories: (a) married and have at least one kid by age 19, or (b) fat, disgusting slobs I wouldn't want to touch let alone put my penis inside of.

There is no nightlife to speak of. The bars/clubs can be split into three groups: (a) ghetto hip-hop places for black people, (b) country/redneck bars. These usually have a high male:female ratio, and the women are not worth approaching, or © a few "normal" bars in the downtown area, but you see the same few people night after night. These bars also have cover charges that far exceed the quality of the bar. It's not worth it.

I've tried to find places for day game, but I've had only modest results at best. The city mall is like a ghost town; gang-related violence drove away many people, then the bad economy finished off most of the shops that were still there.

There are a few parks around, but few people go there. I went yesterday and mostly only saw couples. I only saw one cute girl, but she was in an intense conversation with her mother and didn't even look up when I walked by, so I didn't bother.

I cannot leave this city until at least late July. There is a major metropolitan city about two hours away, but in the industry I work in, it's extremely difficult to find a job there even if you have lots of experience (and I don't have lots of experience). Switching industries would be a dramatic reduction in salary for me (I make around $60/hour.), and I'm saving that money for a long-term trip (similar to what Roosh is doing now).

I'm losing my mind here. I'm considering moving to the metro area as soon as possible this summer, then commuting as far as necessary. However, with the bad economy and the state of my industry, my commute could be as much as 1.5-2 hours one-way, so I'm not sure if I can handle that.

Anyone have any suggestions or words of encouragement?

That place sounds like it sucks. Let us know so we can make sure we never go.

I think you should save up and get ready for a move.

In the meantime, why not take a trip to Las Vegas or Miami Beach?

Las Vegas is super cheap right now.

Don't limit yourself ethnicity wise. It'd be like if you're dying of thirst in a desert, reluctant to drink the chilled Perier available to you, because your first choice is not mineral water.

otherwise keep cool and move as soon as you can.

Thanks for the advice.

thegmanifesto: I'm actually thinking of taking a trip to Miami before long. Maybe that'll tithe me over until I can escape.

armanid27: Good guess. I'm in Georgia.

Georgia?

Hell, Miami Beach is a hop and a crossover and a jump.

Also, why don't you roll to ATL?

I don't know that city too well, (and seemed kind of spread out), but girls seemed super approachable there.

I was cold opening tables of six girls deep. Mad swagger style.

Doesn't sound like a problem that we can solve. A move is in order.

I'd say either move or do a lot of weekend travelling to cities that are close to you and make it work however you can. Also, just get you a squad of about 3 or 4 of those black chicks around to bang regularly - shouldn't be too hard to do....

RE: Bad location
I have 6 words for you:

"Light Skinned and Mixed Black Girls"

In my experience, "LSAMBG" love to be gamed by a guy of another race. I think they find it flattering and they will give you a chance if you look decent and can charm them a little. Also, In my experience they were great in the sack. Being the only white (or spanish , asian, whatever) guy around could actually work in your favor. You should definately have a few light skinned and mixed black girls in your stable. And, You could be competing for the hottest pure black beauties if you wanted to. Your a "novelty".

Save up your money and get out of dodge. Nothing is more soul-crushing than living in a town you hate living in. Do whatever you gotta do. Maybe take weekend trips to the nearest decent city once a month to get your morale up.

My situation isn't too far off. Luckily I can go to DC on the weekends.

If you don't like black girls, there's no shame it! I generally don't. You like what you like.

RE: Bad location
I'm in a pretty similar situatioin. I live in a ski resort town, and the guy to girl ratio is about 4-1 at the clubs. Most the cute girls are taken. What I usually do is swoop one of the hottest girls and keep her around for a while. The nice thing about here though is that people are constantly coming in and leaving. There are always new waves of people coming. Usually the girls I meet are foreign, so they are only here a couple of months, then I get a new one. Then I run my normal game, still trying to bang other girls while keeping that hottie around. It works out pretty well. You usually get a little dry spell for the off season, but that's why you befriend some local girls.

RE: Bad location
Been there, stuck working in a shitty city. Fortunately not for too long.

If you're socking away cash I'd say suck it up for a couple years, but have a plan to get out, which sounds like your current course. If you don't have savings, now is not the time to take big risks. Take trips to cope. I think you'd be insane to consider three hours of commuting a day.

Buy a piano/guitar/easel and get good rather than waste time at shitty bars. "I can actually play/draw very well" game is in its own league and will pay you dividends the rest of your life. The music shop or arts center can lead you to the interesting people even in a hick town.

I'm guessing you're 22/23? A couple years probably still seems like a long time. Keep it in perspective as a short chapter before doing something stupid.
