When you're in the middle of a room (or somewhere where there's nothing to lean on), what type of posture do you guys stand in? Obviously it's good to stand up straight, shoulders back, and all that good stuff, but where do you keep your hands, place your feet, etc.?

On a physiological level, a soldier at attention has good posture, but it sure looks tense. What's a confident posture that's also gives a chill/not giving a fuck vibe?

I usually put my hands behind my back/ass. Palms face outward while resting on ass. One hand overlaps another. Love this position when I'm standing in a line or just standing somewhere not talking to anyone

I normally just stand like that and stare at something in the ditance. Not sure how it is perceived but it feels right..

Put your thumbs in your belt loops, with your thumbs exposed. It's a classic, sexually aggressive pose. For some reason, exposing your thumbs has a sexual connotation; hide them, and the pose is sort of neutered. Then arch your head and neck back a little.

I had to break myself coming out of the Marines standing with a military posture. Chicks were too intimidated to approach. I've been copying the James Dean posture lately with great success.

Yeah, standing at parade rest in the grocery line does make you stand out, but it doesn't make women say "wow, he looks like fun."

Get over the "what should I do with my hands" thing. They don't need to do anything. I like framing my crotch, which can also be done while sitting down with a beer bottle. Always thumbs out. Don't fidget.

What I do nowadays is stand up straight with my hands just hang next to my body all relaxed. This default also gives you more flexibility to move and make gestures. And it looks a lot more chill than all the guys who have to find a shelter for their hands.

Actually, your hand should be on a girl... XD
