You're right, this can help..especially with particular sticking points that come up more than once for you. I find it's like learning language though - it will only come to you in the moment if you've hammered it in a few times in previous interactions.

The confidence and decisiveness really comes when you've dealt with a particular situ multiple times. And you cant prepare for everything...sometimes you just gotta barrel thru and get creative right? You're right though, starting with consciously addressing the issue can be really useful.

I agree about finding your own solutions too. I've seen friends handle situs effortlessly many times, but for those situs to become effortless for me I had to find my own way to do it. Like, even though I could logically see a way thru it, my brain would resist it because it knew that wasnt the way for me. Because your friends or other guys have strengths and weaknesses different from yours.. gotta develop and play your own game.
