World's Unluckiest Bachelor? 6 Matchmakers, 250 Dates, 65K spent still struck out
http://shine.yahoo.com/love-sex/worlds-u...00594.html

Fellas here is further proof that money alone cannot do it. This guy is obviously wealthy & has spent a ton on "matchmaking" services and he still can't ignite a relationship. Granted, he's not the most good looking guy in the world, but I feel that he probably has ZERO game in him.

I'm sure that most of the folks on this board (even some of the more passive semi-beta players) would slay if we had the net worth of this fellow, Larry Greenfield, lol.

Now obviously if you had money + fame + decent looks / in decent shape + some charm + CRAZY GAME, you probably got the world by the tip of your finger as long as you stay healthy and don't get hit with ailments or accidents.

I can't have sex with your personality, and I can't put my penis in your college degree, and I can't shove my fist in your childhood dreams, so why are you sharing all this information with me?

I've been trying to drive this home for years but a lot of guys don't want to believe it.

Money is like steroids. What do guys say when they see a guy who's ripped? 'He must be juicing.' When they see a normal guy with a hot girl? 'He must be rich.'

Their explaining the other man's success in a way that excuses their failure. Saying another man does better than you due to steroids or wealth has a soothing fatalism to it - 'you, after all, aren't responsible, it's beyond your control.'

Another analogy: if you lived in feudal Czarist Russia, and you were dirt poor, well, that was the norm and you wouldn't feel bad about yourself over it. But if you're broke when you live in a time of opportunity, and you squandered your chance at escaping poverty, well, that's a lot harder to live down. So people like to think they have less control than they do, when the outcome is shitty.

If that guy had spent the same money travelling the world I am positive he would have gotten laid a few times just sitting on a bar stool and talking about his adventures.

Dude should just move to Nevada. That much dough would keep me drowning in liquor and hookers for months.

He only wants a Jewish girl and his identity is probably bound up with being a Wall St guy. He's boxed himself in.

He should read James Altucher's blog - similar age and background (nerdy NY Jew) but totally different outlook. Altucher is no PUA but thinks outside the box and ended up finding himself a hot(-ish) Argentinian yoga teacher to wife up.

Dr Johnson rumbles with the RawGod. And lives to regret it.

Money is a tool. You can't just leave your tools in the box and expect them to do the work for you.

Money must be translated into attraction through judicious use. Spend it on location. Spend it on moody ambiance. Spend it on fashion. Spend it on logistics. Spend it social proofing. Spend it enjoying good food. Spend it on an attractive, interesting, fun and exciting lifestyle. Spend it on high status hobbies.

Money is a tool, not a thing. If you don't use it attractively then it's not attractive.

I think this guy lacks a basic understanding of women and female psychology, perhaps because he spent most of his youth trying to become "successful" in life. And now he's trying to find a solitaire in a minefield called American women. No, it's not going to happen. He thinks just because he has some money in the bank, he's entitled to a custom made woman. Unfortunately for him, the world doesn't work that way. That he's trying to find the "perfect" girl is proof enough of his immaturity in the dating business, for any guy who has seriously cut this teeth in the game for at least one year would soon realize that the quest for that so-called perfection is like chasing a mirage.

Game is a necessary evil

$65,000?! He could have spent a fraction of that on training with any number of trainers in the business and end up being countless times more successful.

The article says that the issue is he keeps rejecting the women, and that he was the one who is saying there was no chemistry. If that's true, this maybe as much of a case of crazy as it is of no game. He may be the rare male equivalent of the women for whom no man is a good enough and ends up with their apartment turning into a cat colony.

He just doesn't have a high sex drive. That simple, likely due to high amounts of cocaine and other toxic products.

Oh well.

Second he is looking for a "mate" so he's an idiot.

Third. Even with negative game you can read between the lines and see simply having wealth lands you 6's.

One out of one billion articles that should be in the everything else thread seems like another "captain complainer" article to me.

The dude is gay. He can't come out of the closet because his family would kill him. He's looking for a "mate" as cover. Eventually he'll settle for something to wife up.

RE: World's Unluckiest Bachelor? 6 Matchmakers, 250 Dates, 65K spent still struck out
Quote:"His problem is he's a six and he wanted tens," Maureen Tara Nelson, one of Greenfield's former matchmakers, tells Yahoo! Shine. She claims Greenfield chose his dates through her based on photos and profiles but still came back unsatisfied. "He'd say there was no chemistry, but he picked the women!" says Nelson. At press time, Greenfield hadn't responded to a request for comment.

All that cash and he's just a six. I really would love to see some photo's of the women he dated to see how far above and beyond he was batting outside of his league.

I have this gut instinct that tells me he wasn't going for women that were unattainable for the average guy with game.

RE: World's Unluckiest Bachelor? 6 Matchmakers, 250 Dates, 65K spent still struck out
The advise that he should lower expectations is sound, but at the same time, these same matchmakers tell women that they SHOULDN'T lower their expectations. Don't settle. You deserve the greatest guy with every attribute you can think of. He'll have a hard time finding a chick that will tell him right off the bat that she'll stay home, but he simply needs to find a "career girl" and knock her up. Watch how quickly she warms up to the idea of being supported.

"People who hire matchmakers for thousands of dollars generally want to avoid the vulnerability that we all face when we search for love, " says Nancy Slotkin, a matchmaker who Greenfield has reportedly set his sites on next. "Rejection is part of the process even for the best catches. High-priced matchmakers prey on people's fear of rejection and often make a lot of false promises."

If you're running a business, it runs counter to your mission to tell a customer, after cashing their check, that MAYBE you'll give them the good/service they're paying for. At the same time, a client has to know that something like matchmaking can't be truly guaranteed, in that there are too many unknown factors that go into a successful match. Like that "chemistry" thing. All they can guarantee you is that they'll keep sending prospects your way. What happens after that is out of their hands. If you don't or can't go out and do your own legwork for whatever reason, you can't complain about results.

"The best kind of pride is that which compels a man to do his best when no one is watching."

He spent $65K over twelve years. That's only around $100 per week - a typical bar bill for many guys. He had 250 blind dates - only one every two weeks. He isn't necessarily extremely rich.

He wants a pretty, slim, young, Jewish woman who is ready to have kids. He looks like this

[Image: 09.1n013.LonelyMillionaire1.ta--300x300.jpg]

and found no "chemistry" with a woman three years his junior:

[Image: 09.2n013.LonelyMillionaire.ta--300x300.jpg].

He is just picky and clueless.
