Streisand was never a looker, obviously, but she tended to look younger than her age for a long time. But now her new album cover has revealed her to be a plastic surgery nightmare at 76. She now looks like Ron Perlman's Beast. The artificiality in her face and the photoshopping that was done on this cover is off the charts.

The Photoshoppers could at least have re-pointed her eyes in the same direction.

Neither picture of Winona Ryder makes her look bad for a 50ish woman. Whatever wear and tear may be showing, she has something a lot of women that age (or otherwise) lost or never had: a genuine smile. Oh, it may not in fact be real, and it may be down to her being bugnuts crazy, but look at that second picture, then again at the first, ”ugly” one. The first picture looks like it caught the moment she started to bust up laughing.

If nothing else, she isn't a landwhale, a mummy, or an Uncanny-Valley Girl, and doesn't look like an embittered shrike like most of the other contestants in this thread.

From certain angles, in her prime, Barbra Streisand had an animal sensuality and a pretty good body.

I don't necessarily disagree.
Yet it is still a touch odd that attention remains so important to them when they are over the hill.
Plus, that they seem to still expect to get the same type or level of attention in their old age as when they were younger...

One of the things I am being reminded of when I track down picture of some of these former beauties is that it really is all about the angles, all about the illusion.

I remember how shockingly beautiful Jane Seymour was in her prime, but when I look at her pictures, some are great, and others make her look like slutty little nobody.

I think, from inspecting the pictures that I like, that once a woman has got her angles and her make up down, a big part of her attractiveness is the sort of fantasy role she chooses for herself, and how well she is able to carry it off, and whether or not it is what men want at the time.

The first thing I get from Seymour is that she isn't bothering with innocence at all. She always seems to have a frank sexual gaze.





The other thing is, in many of her pictures there is a slightly contemptuous smirk, or at least the hint of one, challenging the viewer. Can you handle me?






What do you guys think? Did she carry it off? Did she carry it off to the degree that you would ignore all the wrinkles she has now?

Come on guys that's just a poor quality pic of Stokes. She looks way better than. She was never that hot. Attractive, yes. Hard sexy athletic body, yes. Bangable? Absolutely.
