I'm not seeing why it's so important what the girl thinks of your drink. First rule of game is not care about her opinion or shit test.
I"m a beer drinker but if I didn't want to drink i'd order a coke and really don't give rats ass what see thinks about it.
If she asked why i'm not drinking I would make dumb/surprised face and say something like: well, because I don't want to drink tonight and then change the subject.If you frame it right she won't ask anymore. Or you can see you have to stay sharp for some big event the next day. blalblabla

No offense but I think you guys are overthinking this a bit

I didn't drink alcohol last night and I observed myself and analyzed my feelings about it. I also thought back to previous nights when I tried not drinking.

I didn't give a crap what women thought of me not drinking. That was a non issue. I perceived it even as a possible DHV because I wasn't a drunk idiot that women sometimes loathe. My interactions conversations are definitely better without alcohol. Alcohol just makes me spaced out and I don't like that.

What bothered me about the whole thing was what the bartenders and staff thought. I tipped a couple of bucks for my seltzer water but I still strongly felt the perceived social pressure from the staff at the bars.

I felt like I was doing something wrong by entering their bar and not partaking in alcohol. I've felt this feeling most strongly in dive bars. I felt this feeling least strongly in places where I paid a cover to get in.

I tried the not drinking thing in college, you can order a soda or water and put a wedge in it. If you don't smoke or drink, try lighting a joint before heading out - though I think it's detrimental, it may help some guys.

Cigarettes can be your friend, if you see a girl you like, act like you are on your way out for a smoke - game regularly and pull outside. If she looks like a smoker just mention it and if she comes out with you, you're golden. Also good for trolling bars at close.

I've given the completely sober game a shot and successfully closed 3/4 attempts. I had a solid wing-man though. Otherwise, if you are dolo and sober, play the numbers game - it's an overall win : you're saving time & money, living healthier and approaching more women.

There is really nothing wrong with not drinking in a bar and I have never had a female ask me what I was drinking unless it was something that looked strange. When I was in college my mom used to tell me that if I was broke but wanted to go out to by a drink that I did not really like. That way you have the drink in your hand but you sip it slowly if at all.

Where I live the bars and clubs close at 0200 so it is not uncommon for drunk guys to take their last shot at girls on the street at around 0230. I've found that being sober or relatively sober actually helps with the approaches at that hour. Personally, it gives me more confidence because I know I will not be just like the last guy who stumbled up to her and tried to say something clever.

That's true as far as it goes, but in all honesty, what percentage of single night lays are done by guys who are 100% sober? For most guys, I bet it's less than half the time.

Maybe it's just an issue with neophytes or whatever, but most of my ONS have been done when both I and the girl have been moderately intoxicated. Not all by any means, but over 50%.

When you think about it, drunk driving laws are not just a means to prevent traffic accidents and fatalities. They're a way of controlling male sexuality and preventing men from attaining too many sexual conquests. Perhaps the arrival of self-driving cars will help provoke a renaissance of drunk men banging drunk chicks in America.

I have been doing this for years (slowed down recently) and your biggest challenge here is going to be yourself rather than other people. Just make it clear you're not drinking this night. People will test you and bust your balls but if you just hold the frame and look like you barely register their whywhywhy chatter then they are eventually going to be taken aback.

What happens is, everyone has had moments when they wanted to go our and NOT drink but gave under for insecurity and peer pressure. When you then suddenly come along and emit no emotion over the concept, but even flaunting it they are internally going to recognize you as a more confident person than themselves? COULD THIS POSSIBLY BE TO YOUR ADVANTAGE?

yup Vicious 100% right.

if you decide beforehand about no drinking policy and you decide to execute it perfectly everyday with no exceptions your life becomes easier overall.

like when you start new diet/workout that last 2 months and you just say ok i'm not drinking any % for 2 months period. and you stick to that. then all of the doubts and social pressure are just irrelevant to you cause you don't give yourself a choice and so you don't start debating then and there in the bar. it's just NO. and any kind of shit people give, you just ignore or tell them straight up that you can't drink.

same with diet or any other goal.

The 'recovering alcoholic' line is awesome!! Can definitely see that one working, as opposed to giving them a serious answer.

Get better at approaching and making convo in the day, and eventually you won't need alcohol as a crutch at night. The 'high' you get from constantly opening attractive women is usually enough to keep your engine running.. no matter how tired/hungover/shitty mood you are in, when you sense pussy something primal just kicks in and your brain is like ' RIGHT, LETS FUCKING DO THIS'. Shit is more powerful than [insert drug].

I ride a motorcycle everywhere I go so I don't drink half the time. Sometimes limit myself to two beers. If I get asked in the bar or club, I point to my helmet or say I dont drink and ride. Saves a shitload of money plus its a segway to the bike.

115-215 in the club is cool when you sober. It's just the annoyance of dealing with a tipsy lizard. At times, I feel a little bad when I pull. Damn you sober conscience. Most of the bars and clubs I hit up rarely have any riders. All it takes is one to want a ride home haha.

If you paid cover to get in fuck what they think. They can't kick you out just because you refuse to drink. As man rollin' solo you have to be alpha & not give a fuck what anybody else thinks of you. As Leykis said you gotta make it seem like "you're too cool for the rule" when you're out solo. Just make jokes about it. For instance, if you see a guy sloppy drunk with his head down at the bar or even stumbling around you can just say in a lighthearted manner "naw because I go all out sometime when I start drinkin' & I gotta drive home tonight. I wouldn't wanna end up like ol' boy over there, might end up smashin' up your bumper on my way out". They'll laugh & if you see a girl you're interested in within earshot just turn to her & say something like "it's a damn shame, they tryin' to have me up in county tonight. Ain't nothin' wrong with a man comin out, sober is there?" She'll laugh & respond. there's your opener & you just go from there.

That is exactly right. Just ask for a tonic, seltzer, Coke, or whatever in a "bar glass." My brother was a bartender and he gave me that advice.

Bartenders realize that certain patrons visit bars to be sociable but do not wish to drink alcohol and do not wish to stand out by holding a water glass. Asking for a "bar glass" signals that desire to the bartender. They will gladly accommodate you. They are in business to please their clientele. Just have a plan ready for getting a drink in the presence of a girl.

I prefer rolling Dolo, as opposed to with a crew of dudes or sidekicks. If I hit a club or bar, I have no problem ordering a water. Girls sometimes ask me if I'm a police officer when they see me drinking water, lol. When out of the country, girls will still often get curious.
