Last one is particularly relevant for the consumerist culture of America. Anything you buy, no matter how expensive, is only a temporary source of happiness. True happiness is intrinsic, and cannot be bought. That revelation was one of the guiding principles which led me to game and the things which are my occupations now (and to being a much happier person).
