RE: Has anyone read this book? :Wheat Belly: Lose the Wheat, Lose the Weight
Everyone saying you cant eat a lot of carbs, and havent always been naturally lean, please post pictures with your faces blurred out. I want to see how "ripped" you actually were when eating 300+ grams of carbs a day. Once again, if your naturally lean from genetics, you dont count. I want to see a before and after of a dude eating 300+ grams of carbs a day and their transformation. Enough with random dudes talking in a video. Lets get some picture evidence of a personal transformation from people on this forum saying they did it high carb. It seems like there are 2 or 3 people arguing against everyone else. Are you the Exception to the High carb rule or the norm?
Show me one example from one of you arguing to eat lots of carbs. I went from 20% down to 8%(veins visible on abs) by following a very low carb diet. Im talking less than 100 grams of carbs a day, and they are only coming pre or post workout in a 30 minute window. I'll gladly post photos with the face blurred out.
And this isnt bragging or hating. Just because your genetics allow it doesnt mean everyone else can get away with it. If we look at everyone as a whole, most people will lose more body fat when doing a low carb diet than a normal or high carb diet, even with total calories being the same.
Im not trying to hate on anyone or be controversial. I hate when the few people who can get lean when eating high carbs try to tell everyone else they can too. Your the exception, not the norm. Its like saying because you were blessed with great looks and born into money that people dont need game to get girls. The average guy, the norm, will need game to get girls. LOL its the same thing with highcarbs and getting lean. To get a 6 pack or to 10% bodyfat (which is veins in lower abs), the average guy with regular genetics is gonna have to go low carbs.

please explain where you got the number for 300 carbs a day?
thats as high as i go,as i need to fit my protein and fat in.What i mean by high carbs is a large % of my calories come from carbs.
also you dont have to be 10% to have a sick pack, some people with really developed abs at a higher bf% have six packs.also ive seen people that are shredded all over their body without abs,so its all relative.
ive dieted down to very low bodyfat but it took me nearly a year and it was painful on low carbs because i believed the broscience.I eat tons of carbs now and dieting isnt half as hard.look over on the other thread BRO.

Book title: Wheat Belly: Lose the Wheat, Lose the Weight, and Find Your Path Back to Health
Book description
A renowned cardiologist explains how eliminating wheat from our diets can prevent fat storage, shrink unsightly bulges, and reverse myriad health problems.
Every day, over 200 million Americans consume food products made of wheat. As a result, over 100
million of them experience some form of adverse health effect, ranging from minor rashes and high blood sugar to the unattractive stomach bulges that preventive cardiologist William Davis calls “wheat bellies.” According to Davis, that excess fat has nothing to do with gluttony, sloth, or too much butter: It’s due to the whole grain wraps we eat for lunch.
After witnessing over 2,000 patients regain their health after giving up wheat, Davis reached the disturbing conclusion that wheat is the single largest contributor to the nationwide obesity epidemic—
and its elimination is key to dramatic weight loss and optimal health. In Wheat Belly, Davis exposes the harmful effects of what is actually a product of genetic tinkering and agribusiness being sold to the
American public as “wheat”—and provides readers with a user-friendly, step-by-step plan to navigate a new, wheat-free lifestyle.
Informed by cutting-edge science and nutrition, along with case studies from men and women who
have experienced life-changing transformations in their health after waving goodbye to wheat, Wheat
Belly is an illuminating look at what is truly making Americans sick and an action plan to clear our plates of this seemingly benign ingredient.
I found this book in the book top 100 of Amazon and it's in there for already 340 days so it must be pretty popular. Link = http://www.amazon.com/Wheat-Belly-Lose-W...s_books_20
Anyone tried this diet? Opinions?
My friend who first told me about Wheat Belly sent me this interview with the author:

I don't understand how they stay in shape. Even that dude Robert who lives on street food, drinks beer all day and is over 40 has no fat on him. Also, they don't seem to drink much water there or not close compared to Florida for such a hot place. I wish someone could explain this..
It’s simple. They are using more energy per day than they are eating, which can be measured in calories. Recording the calories you eat in a day gives you the whole story. Construction work takes a lot of energy requiring a greater intake of calories. I ate a torta carne asada yesterday. I measured it on my food scale and it had 153 grams of steak and 218 grams of bread. The steak was 284 calories and gave me 46.4 grams of protein. The bread was 537 calories. So the bread had almost twice the calories than the meat. However, I won’t get a “wheat belly” (brilliant marketing term by the way) because I made sure to eat less energy that day than I used. By keeping records I have estimated by daily calorie use at 2300 calories per day. The human engine must obey the law of thermodynamics like any other machine.

way to think inside the box.
this is old school thinking that there is only one way to skin a cat here, there is a small percentage of the population that is insulin resistant and may react better to a low carb diet but if your insulin response is normal to healthy you can get just as lean as anybody doing a low carb plan. The only difference between the 2 plans to the average person who has a healthy response is the low carb plan is idiot proof....it tells you low carbs so you avoid carbs and it says high fat so you take in high fats...theres not a million webpages dedicated to idiot proofing the high carb plan so people eat a good amount of carbs, way too much fat, and middle in with protein and get fat cause their overall take in is too much and they blame carbs not their inability to understand macros. You want to lose fat, put in less calories than you need, there it is the big scientific secret behind it all. The body is an efficient machine it doesnt care if its getting its primary fuel from carbs or fat but give it too much and it'll store either. Eat too many calories on a low carb diet tell me how ripped someone gets? I've done them both, I hate my mental state on a low carb plan, I don't think it's a practical solution long term and more a quick fix and I certainly don't believe it's optimal for putting on muscle either...I'd suggest to many that if theyve tried low carb to try a high carb plan and see for yourself what is best for you, we're all different and we will react better to one vs the other so don't assume that there is only one way to do things...see for yourself.
