C Grade: LA

Miami and New York no doubt.

But, Las Vegas???

In what ways is Vegas better then LA?

One night stands? Of course, Vegas is way better.

Restaurants? Might be a close one?

Are there any other areas that Vegas is better then LA?

Okay, gambling.

Vegas might be better for a vacation. But, where would you rather live?

Las Vegas.

But I would probably only live a month of the year or so.

LA would get zero months of the year from me.

Quote:I'm sure you would rather live somewhere in LA. right?

Maybe not. Mayweather, Tyson, and Wayne Newton seem to like it.

No.

I would rather live in Miami, NYC or Montreal depending on the time of year. You could also throw in a little time in New Orleans, Chicago and Europe.

LA doesn't measure up.

Quote:Yes, I think too many guys complain about LA without making the necessary strategic adjustments.

That is part of the point, in better cities you don't have to make "necessary strategic adjustments".

In other cities it is just "Game on".

Quote:LA is a unique problem. It requires a unique solution. We have to think differently. Having game is not enough. Logistics have to be set up also. This makes things more challenging for most people.

After all of this analysis, I will say this, LA is harder then most places. The logistical problems alone make this so.

So basically what we have come up with as the "solution" to LA is a "centrally located apartment".

Good. Great. Ground breaking.

News just in, this works everywhere.

My point has been that a "centrally located apartment" is going to do you 5-10 times better in NYC or Miami Beach.

-----

And yeah, it does matter that Gio is making his case for LA after swooping a girl in Newport and one in Fullerton.

Those places aren't in LA.

I mean, we have to draw lines somewhere, right? Or should we just consider anything that happens in South Western States to fall under the umbrella or LA to help make it's case?

IE "Hey guys I swooped a girl in Albuquerque, New Mexico and on from Tombstone, AZ over the weekend. Centrally located apartment is all you need homeslice. I told you straight up fools that LA is easy! Wessyde Gangsters fo life! Hit 'Em up!"

Would that be a ok "LA Trip Report" for you guys?

I will say it again, this is like someone making the argument that DC isn't as bad as people claim because he swooped two girls in Philadelphia.

RE: The Los Angeles thread
I met Gio and went out with him during the day, he approaches like mad so I can definitely see him being successful in LA, even LA proper. And he doesn't do night game, which is where I believe the difficulty lies. Though I haven't really ever daygamed in LA to compare it to other places.

(06-24-2013 03:35 AM)poutsara Wrote:  I like Giovonny's comments and his strategy. It seems that his strategy is to run continuous day-game (life-game) and roll with it. So what if Fullerton and Pasadena aren't LA proper. The cute girls who live in LA and go to Graystone or wherever on Saturday night are the same ones that will shop at Trader Joe's in Westwood or Sherman Oaks on a Wednesday evening. You can make a five-year effort to break into the scene and get into exclusive private parties, or you can swoop some of these same girls or at least nearly similar quality, during the day - and in fact including today - and save your nights for girls you are already banging, or even just be with your friends or family.

My breakdown:

LA is tough for nightgame. Solution? Don't rely on it for swooping. Although, I like going out, so who cares if it's tough. (If you want easier night game and you live in LA and don't have the connections of McQueen, then go to Vegas for a weekend).

LA freeways and logistics will cockblock you. Solution? Live near where you work and live in a neighborhood where you can go out. Not easy, but worth the effort to try.

LA girls are shallow and flaky. Solution? This is not a unique LA problem. Also, the ones who grew up here are less flaky than the ones who move here after the fact.

LA is expensive. Solution? Get a better job. Or better yet, run a better business.

I've come up with my own personal solution - get the fuck out of LA. After what I did in NYC in two nights and what life is like here in Europe this summer, there is no reason for me to ever go back to LA and deal with that shit.

I will still spend time there to see family, do some work, etc., but the chances of me going out at night to bang a girl are ever diminishing. I rather stay at home and plan my next trip to the EE.

RE: The Los Angeles thread
I just re-read my post above and I kind of come off like an *sshole.

I didn't mean that and I don't want to seem like I am taking away from Gio's accomplishments.

Two girls in two weeks solely from daygame is a very solid result.

And Orange County has very similar if not identical problems to LA so even if his "code cracking" was not in LA, it is still valid.

And sure, the solution to LA is "daygame". (And maybe enough to say, "see guys, sh*t ain't hard in LA." so I get where Gio is coming from.)

Again, I will stress, when people call a city a "daygame city" it is simply code talk meaning a city has sh*tty nightlife.

"Daygame" is good everywhere. I mean, it is not like in Miami Beach daygame is non-existent. In fact, daygame is way better in Miami, but that is neither here nor there.

Also, saying the solution "daygame" is often times not a valid option for guys. Some guys on here aren't independently wealthy playboys with nothing to do all day. Some of us have to work for a living during the day, like your humble author.

Furthermore, a city with good nightlife, it is not uncommon for someone hitting it heavy to swoop 4 girls in 2 weeks. That would be a solid result as well.

So, back to my point, a person partying hard in NYC, Las Vegas or Miami Beach (or Chicago, Montreal, New Orleans) will double the production relatively easily of the person who used great expertise and "necessary strategic adjustments", "code cracking skills", Triple Washed Arugula Back Flip Whole Foods Game Smoothed Out on an R&B tip and Game Jujitsu in LA.

Not to mention, it sounded like Gio has a healthy dose of "Good Fortune" in his swoops as well ie one was in the condo building of his friend and happen to join them in the hot tub, the other a tourist from Virginia renting his relatives apartment. Again, not taking away from the swoops as all swoops require a little "Good Fortune", but relying on this type of "Good Fortune" is not really a sustainable solution for a guy living in LA. I mean hell, Gio could move to LA for three years and maybe have this type of "Good Fortune" happen one other time in that period.

Hell, in the last 20 years I spent in CA, I never had a super hot girl rent my parents property or Godfather's (who has tons of property) or had a chance meeting in my hot tub or any of my friends hot tubs either.

(06-24-2013 05:59 AM)slubu Wrote:  I've come up with my own personal solution - get the fuck out of LA.

Might be the best solution to "code crack" LA.

That is actually the option I settled on.

I think one's "good fortune" increases significantly when one moves to one of the areas in LA where the hot girls are: Westwood, West Hollywood, Santa Monica, Studio City...higher density, higher chance of bumping into one in your daily routine. The more they see you around, the more comfortable & open they are to your approach.

I haven't seen anyone from these areas post on the forum. Maybe they're too busy gaming & banging.

I don't hit on girls much, but when i do they melt.

You must be new here.

There are an ungodly amount of posts about the West Side.

So many that it's boring to keep talking about it.

And of course it's easy though not really helpful to tell a guy, "Hey, go move to a place that will ad 30 minutes to your commute and cost $1,800 a month for a 1 bedroom."

RE: The Los Angeles thread
It's cute watching outsiders drop knowledge on L.A. Unless you've lived on the West Side, you simply don't know what you are talking about.

To live in the right places of L.A. is going to cost over $20,000 a year in rent. Everything else is expensive, too. Given commutes, it's not uncommon to spend $250 a month on gas.

There are so many ways to steal your money through tickets. Add $100 a month to average out bullshit parking tickets, bullshit jay walking tickets, etc.

You really need to earn at least 80K to have a sensible lifestyle on the West Side. That's not an indulgent life and that's not a life where you're even putting much away in a 401k.

Where are all of those great jobs or businesses where guys are earning that much money? Drop a data sheet.

Anyhow, if you just want to meet girls, take that cash and live somewhere else.

I live in LA for career reasons. I would never spend so much fucking money just to meet women.

I could pay off a palace in Phoenix with a few years of LA rent money.

Scottsdale has more hotter women than LA, by far.

Come "make it" in L.A. Live on the West Side for a few years. It's hard as fuck to get by.

To LA's credit, that same amount would get you a place with two roomies in Brooklyn.

Yup, this is my strategy. Life game all day long, sun up til sun down. Walking down the street, going to the store, shopping, the gym, public transportation, the library, the book store, the mall, at work, etc.

Everywhere I go, I am talking to girls.

(06-24-2013 03:35 AM)poutsara Wrote:  the same ones that will shop at Trader Joe's in Westwood or Sherman Oaks

Yes, I think Day Game is very important in LA. Night game is tough. The same girls who go out to the clubs are out during the day. Why not talk to them at 4pm? Why wait til 11pm?

Bitch Shields are lower during the day.

If you live in LA and you don't day game, you are not taking advantage of the numbers.

More girls in your environment should mean your girls in your "Filtering System"

(06-24-2013 05:42 AM)thegmanifesto Wrote:  So basically what we have come up with as the "solution" to LA is a "centrally located apartment"

Yes, living in a high traffic area is the most important thing. It sounds obvious but how many guys are actually doing it?

We have guys driving 40 minutes into Hollywood and then complaining about logistics.

We have guys sitting in traffic for an hour at 2am!

That means that they do not have a "centrally located apartment".

Their system needs upgrading. Either move closer to Hollywood or find fishbowls closer to your house.

(06-24-2013 05:42 AM)thegmanifesto Wrote:  My point has been that a "centrally located apartment" is going to do you 5-10 times better in NYC or Miami Beach.

You keep saying that Miami and NYC are better then LA.

I trust you on this.

I'm not comparing LA to any other city.

I'm trying to help the guys in LA get more girls with less work.

You might be getting this thread confused with another thread where you guys were comparing cities:

LA is harder then NYC

I'm not comparing any cities. I'm just posting my observations to help the guys in LA get some new ideas.

Miami and NYC are clearly better

I know. Guys have to work. I also work but only until 3pm. I go hard from 3-5pm. I also only week 3-4 days during the week so I can go to a university campus a few times a week at lunch hour. Some days, I work from 3-7pm so I can also get a few approaches in before work, or during work, or even after at the market.

Before this, I worked at a college. I don't like my jobs to interfere my pussy. I like my jobs to provide me with money and pussy. But, thats a conversation for another thread.

(06-24-2013 05:59 AM)slubu Wrote:  I've come up with my own personal solution - get the fuck out of LA.

Yes. I've been waiting for you to say this.

LA sucks for most guys.

I wouldn't want to live there.

But, for the guys that do live there, and want to get better results, I am happy to share my experiences and observations.

I like trying solve game problems.

(06-24-2013 10:18 AM)thegmanifesto Wrote:  Not to mention, it sounded like Gio has a healthy dose of "Good Fortune"

I did get lucky. Twice! Honestly, I think the game Gods just rewarded me for all my hard work and dedication. I was expecting LA to be so hard. I was surprised how friendly and warm the girls were. 3 years ago, I would have not banged either of those girls because my game was not ready.

You are right. I could go back to LA and that could never happen to me again. Sometimes, we just get lucky.

Of course, when you approach 5 girls a day, you increase your chances of getting lucky.

Finally, I want to say this..

I think my game is designed for big cities. That's why I like LA. I am basically like that guy Vitaly. I approach dozens of girls until I find one that wants to bang me. It's just a big numbers game.

I can't wait to get to Manhattan and Miami Beach!

(06-24-2013 10:18 AM)thegmanifesto Wrote:  Triple Washed Arugula Back Flip Whole Foods Game Smoothed Out on an R&B tip and Game Jujitsu in LA.

This is my greatest skill. Adaptability. Resourcefulness. Versatility. Being a Chameleon. Adjusting my style to the environment.

I beleive game is like jujitsu. We adjust our fighting style to match the strengths and weaknesses of our opponent.

I didn't go after Hollywood actresses, I went after junior college sophomores and middle class Latinas.

This explains a lot of my success. I try to get in where I fit in.

I'm a middleweight. I don't heavyweights.

Also, is it that much easier to game in Miami Beach than in Venice Beach or Santa Monica? I mean, it's just another beach with tourist girls in bikinis. And no, a topless girl isn't necessarily easier to game.

I don't hit on girls much, but when i do they melt.

I have lived here for over a decade and you have not. Therefore your opinion isn't valid. It's all fantasy for you right now.

There are many "data sheets" stating what neighborhoods to live in what are the best bars, best places for day game, etc. I even gave a specific geographic rundown/map for someone who was apartment hunting. Run a search.

You're making the classic mistake of precious millennials everywhere:

It's all there.

Focus on adding value rather than talking shit to the people who actually contribute information and who actually have first-hand knowledge of what they write of.

McQueen is a Hollywood/Vegas club promoter. Of course he's gonna get laid like a rock star. The kind of access he has to pussy just isn't there for most dudes.

It's all there.

Focus on adding value rather than talking shit to the people who actually contribute information and who actually have first-hand knowledge of what they write of.

I do have to ask - why is McQueen killing it there? And there are guys who are successful like him who don't post on this forum. As I said earlier, one guy or a handful of guys' experience doesn't make it reality for everyone else.

Find your niche. Exploit it. Night game I am a rockstar on. Daygame I'm mid-level; just haven't found the motivation during the day when I can pull at night relatively easy.

If you're a surfer, live by the beach and pull beach sluts. If you're a bookworm live by UCLA and pull Asian chicks who like to stay in on a Sat night. If you like to party, get a job in nightlife and have club sluts.

I know my strengths and weaknesses and that's ok. I plan on moving to Miami next year for a 3 month trial, then NYC for another 3 months. Where will I work; what will I do? VIP Hosting contracts with clubs their. Will I continue to pull? Absolutely. Part of that is for work I hit those cities and already have an idea of how they work. I know my niche and utilize it and I don't try to be anything I'm not.

All that being said; a lot of night game is a matter of applying advice every fucking weekend for years. Learn from those who know and put in the work.

RE: The Los Angeles thread
Guys,

I will be going to LA around August for a week or two.. Will have some business meetings and will be looking for an office space..

After that I will have an office in LA within this year and will be staying there...

Now, can you guys tell me, which online dating sites are best for LA? So that I can plan some dates before I come to LA in august..

Also, where would you suggest me to stay in the hotel.. I would like to stay near the clubs and bars so that the logistics are in my favour..

LC

PS mcqueen, it will be good to catch up with you.. seems like we have a lot in common.. used to be host for clubs in London..

RE: The Los Angeles thread
I moved to LA last week and have been renting airbnb pads around the city to get a feel for what neighborhood suits me. Everything you guys said has been spot on to the point where I would see something mentioned in this thread and laugh to myself. The talent is great but there's definitely an air of "you can look but you can't touch" especially in West Hollywood. The one question I have is where can I find the cute Latinas that Gio mentioned?

I think OKCupid is fine, not great.
Been having a ton of success with Tinder recently, but I think you have to be here first in order to access LA chicks on it (matches based on geography).

I think West Hollywood is the best part of town to be in due to its central location. There are also decent bars and good day game opportunities in WeHo. Look at the SLS, Sunset Plaza, Standard on Sunset, Andaz, Pali House or Palihotel.

If you want to be right in the middle of the club scene, Hollywood is better. Try the W Hollywood, Redbury, Loews Hollywood. Being in Hollywood is good because of the clubs and also proximity to Los Feliz, Silverlake, etc, in case you like artsier girls. BUT it is super far from the west side. If you stay in Hollywood, you will not be able to go out in Santa Monica, Venice, or Westwood without needing to drive 30 min in each direction.

You have me curious McQueen: how many new notches, on average, are you getting a week?

If you have answered this elsewhere, then just link to the thread.

RE: The Los Angeles thread
I think I found a place w/higher bitch shield than LA- Jerusalem, Israel. Absolutely freaking ridiculous.

And honestly, I haven't really had the problem of "bitch shields" ever since I started going suited up w/a square. If anything its a "come talk to me" vibe.

People gripe about the problems of LA, and there is no denying it.

The solution of getting a centrally located apartment is valid, but for f-cks sake, I dont want to stay in just 1 area all my life. I like going to dtown, koreatown, SM, venice, hollywood, valley, etc and switching it up. Also, its not viable for most because the commute would be an additional 30-60 mins each way plus huge increase in rent.

Heres what I did (ups to many members on this board)-
1) Started going suited down everywhere at night- ups to Gman. This murders the b-shield. Gets you into spots much easier, gets you mad respect from bouncers, and gets you betters service from barmen and cocktail waitresses.
2) Started locking places down hard and making my face known to the staff- ups to Mcqueen and MikeCF(for proper greasing protoccol)
3) Having joints- Nothing is smoother than lighting up a J and passing it to a hot girl. Most will take a hit, then you start chatting lightly and integrate seamlessly into their group.
4) Work very fast and hard. I time myself hard and escalate very quickly. Bouncing girls to my house isnt easy, but I do try to smooth the transition. I pitch food usually. Sometimes Ill pitch one thing, get them in the car, start driving, and pitch something else (closer to my house) and just drive there. Inertia can be your friend or it can be your enemy. Use it.
5) Go out dolo for optimal mobility.

WIA- For most of men, our time being masters of our own fate, kings in our own castles is short. Even those of us in the game will eventually succumb to ease of servitude rather than deal with the malaise of solitude

RE: The Los Angeles thread
I went to school in LA. A couple things that will help:

1.) Have a lot of cash and an expensive car. Notice I didn't say nice or reliable. Most people in LA are all about image and how rich you perceive to be. Maybe people are fake because of Hollywood. who knows.

2.) Work out... a lot. If you have abs and hit the beach often, you'll get some attention from decent looking women. If not...well good luck.

3.) Live in either Santa Monica, Westwood, Brentwood or Beverly Hills. Those addresses will lead you to getting laid. No girl wants to make the trip to Redondo Beach and unless she's some hippie kind of chic, she's most likely not coming back to Venice with you. The places I mentioned have some sort of status and mystique to them...plus in my opinion, that's where the hottest women will be.

Yep. I've posted all of those tips many times.

Which is why when guys come in looking for some "edge," it's sorta annoying to L.A. guys.

I could give thedude, partyonbro, and other la guys a trust fund and they'd murder it in L.A.

But unless you're making serious cash, "game" isn't going to take you very far.

Nice car is $400 lease payment. Plus you gotta commute. That's $200 or more. Plus insurance on said leased car - $150.

So you're $1,800 a month in rent and $700-800 in a car. Every month.

That's around $30,000 a year. That's after-tax money, too. So you need to earn $45,000 or so before taxes just to cover rent and a car.

You haven't even eaten or paid a student loan bill and you need a 45K/year job just to pay your rent and drive to and fro.

Guys just don't get it unless they've lived it.

It's all about lifestyle game, or what guys are now calling "good logistics."

Yes, get an apartment across the street from The Wilshire and by Cabo Cantina, Qs, etc. Or get an apartment down the street from 3rd Street Promenade.

But, again, you need a lot of cash. If you don't have cash, "game" is going to be very hard to do.

Another rough spot. You meet some girls and they want to hang out past 2 a.m. What are you gonna do?

After parties are hard on the West Side. Most apartments are semi-residential, so you can't really party like you can up in the Hills. Cops will be at your place with a quickness after calls from neighbors.

I know a guy has never lived on the West Side if he talks about game without ever mentioning crushing cash flow issues.

RE: The Los Angeles thread
Yeah. That's why I just save my money and make more Vegas/SF/???? trips and do with what I have. I honestly rarely go out here anymore but I'm fairly centrally located. I'd love to live in Brentwood or on the promenade but I can go to Vegas every month for the cost savings of being a 15 minute cab ride away so I choose to do that. Also I'm over a lot of those hoods..it may be cool for a while but you'll start seeing the same people over and over and get sick of it.

For LA...you need to drop at least 60 grand on a car to have it even matter...or get a Prius and live in Santa Monica and its a wash.

But having a good, well connected job is probably most important factor in LA. Just making money isn't enough...or having great logistics or game.....having your own company that sounds important or being an agent is probably the holy grail. The best women aren't at bars in Santa Monica or Beverly Hills....they are at industry events and magazine parties at obscure galleries in culver city.

I've gone to Alhambra Main Street. Lots of hot young Latinas but its pretty closed off if you aren't familiar to them. some of the divey bars there may be easier but ive always gone with a so so crew...

Also the guys tend to try to get into fights and are super protective of the girls they are with....

I've done decently at some of the bars in eagle rock but the crowds are hit and miss....usually miss.
