I have been giving this topic a ton of though over the last week and I came up with a game plan for obtaining quick lays more often.

Note that this post is based on NYC where last call is 4AM.

First, I'll make some observations from my own experience going out over the last few years.
1. A man by himself with no connections can not get into a somewhat trendy place during peak hours. Totally forget the really trendy places.
2. You can get into certain somewhat trendy places that are not nightclubs if you go really early then stand around in an empty place for a couple of hours waiting for peak time. This is not efficient. If you are interested in getting phone numbers and taking girls on dates, this is a good strategy but it is not a good strategy for quick lays. Most of the girls will come in groups.
3. Some trendy places will let you in past the peak when the crowd is starting to thin out. If they are letting guys in after the peak, it will turn into a sausage fest quickly. But if you walk in, do several quick approaches, you might find that one girl who is done with her friends and looking for a quick lay herself. If you hit the venue just right you will have some time when the ratio is still somewhat okay before it turns into a complete sausage fest.
4. Dive bars will always let you in if they are not trendy and sometimes they have lots of cute girls. I've pulled from dive bars late night but I've had really nasty rejections too.
5. I've been looking at the G Manifesto website and reading his posts about Restaurant bars. I think they may have potential for quick lays if you go after they stop serving dinner but before they close. I have no experience in this particular arena but I'm thinking that you might find a DTF girl sitting at the bar around midnight or 12:30 am at a restaurant bar that closes at 1AM. Again, this part is pure speculation since I have no real world experience with Restaurant bars.

Here is how I will break down friday/Saturday nights

Peak Hours for finding DTF talent in Restaurant Bars (11:45 PM - 12:15PM) <----- theoretical - no experience with this. Just speculation.<-----

Peak Hours for Best F/M ratio at bars: 12:15 AM - 1:15 AM

Peak Hours for Quick Lays: 1:15 AM - 2:15 AM

Plan
1. Pick one Restaurant bar that closes at 1AM
2. Pick one Trendy bar that you can get in past it's peak
3. Pick four dive bars that you know you can get into at anytime

1. Hit up the Restaurant bar at 12:15 AM and sit next to a girl if you see any. If not, sit at the bar until 12:45 AM and if no women come in, then leave the venue.
2. Go to each of the 4 dive bars and dedicate 15 minutes to each dive bars. Do a bunch of quick approaches screening for DTF girls. If you don't find any girls interested in a quick lay, eject and go to the next place.
3. If you haven't gotten laid yet, the somewhat trendy place will be past it's peak and the doorman will likely let you in so go there and make that your hail marry pass of the night.
4. If 2:15 AM rolls around without a lay, go home and get some sleep. Good things rarely happen after 2:15 AM.

A hail marry pass? You mean like making a pass at a girl by hailing her over and promising to marry her if she'll have sex with you?

I think you mean "Hail Mary". It's a religion thing. (I'm an atheist, but still it's something I've heard of.)

I've run a coupla hail mary passes before. It's a game tactic where you're drunk, alone, miserable, and horny, and you basically approach every single group leaving a bar/nightclub after last call. It doesn't often work.
In sports I think it's like a last ditch effort.

My best experience with quick lays late in NYC is at the smaller pubs around Time Square. You can pick up a lot of off-duty waitresses that tend to drink by themselves at divey bars.
