One option is having your business/property incorporated or put into a trust in another state. This makes things more difficult for people to find you, though if you cause enough trouble they can still get to you.

However, you live in Florida, (AFAIK) and I believe that Florida has an unlimited homestead exemption for creditors. Meaning, if you owe somebody money, you get to keep your house no matter how much money it is worth. This is why doctors in Florida pump all of their cash into their houses. They eschew paying malpractice insurance and take their chances.

You would really need to talk to an attorney about this, though, because there are a lot of things to take into consideration, including bankruptcy. It might be worth it to keep your house in your name but put your business in an out-of-state trust of some sort.

Next time you go to DR, stop by one of the bigger banks in Santo Domingo and inquire about renting a safe deposit box. There are companies that specialize in this business, but I wouldn't give them my money without first paying them a visit. I personally would go with a reputable bank that has been in business for many years.

Regarding getting sued, as long as you take the right steps to legally avoid having to document your account with the IRS, there is no paper trail in the U.S. from your foreign account to you. The lawyers can't take what they don't know about. And without a paper trail, I don't see how any private investigator will be able to find your overseas account. Just keep your balance low, don't do anything to draw attention, and don't tell anyone about your account.

As some of you may imagine I do some really fucked up shit. I want to take actual cash someplace to save it where it cant be touched by a court order or the tax man for my retirement. At the very least, this thread could be used to prove you have considered hiding money at one point and likely leveraged to use against you. Unless you practice some really good online security and your profile here could never be traced to you.

I'm kind of surprised that no one here mentioned this.

I'd assume there are some pretty good books online about this sort of thing that you could find a creative way to order if you wanted to. I don't know much about your area but I think I spotted a couple in The Spy Shop in San Francisco once too. Maybe there's a store like that where you live too.

Unless El Mech actually divulges personally identifiable information on the forum, the private investigator has no way of tying his online identity with his real one. He can speculate all he wants, but a PI is not law enforcement and does not have the authority to subpoena Roosh's admin logs (for IP addresses) or the authority to take possession of el mech's computer to search his browser history. A PI can (and many do) break the law to gather information, but even if he discovered el mech has a foreign bank account, the guy would have be well-funded to cross international lines to go looking for it. If el mech has enemies with that much money and desire to get him, then yeah, he should at a minimum be encrypting his computers and using a VPN, and should not be meeting any forum members in real life.

There was a time when travellers checks were widely used, and equally important, widely accepted. That time is over.

Most travel oufits have minimized them (too expensive and unwieldy), replacing them with prepaid debit cards.

I have question relevant to this. I may be eligible for Italian citizenship.

Hypothetically, I obtained dual citizenship, could I simply open a swiss account (or account in any other country) using my Italian/EU passport, documentation, etc?

Would they even have to know I was also a US citizen? Could they find out after the fact?
