Finished all my initial training a week and a half ago. Shit sucked ass except for the 2 off-post weekend passes we got. Better than being another broke unemployed college-grad living at home with his mother. I'm still wondering whether I made the right choice but it seemed like the only choice with long-term benefits (not being another TEFL-er) to make at the time.

I'm pretty sure that this will put me on the path to being an independent and functional adult and not a kiddult and the money in my account is something to be thankful for too.

I'm almost finished a degree that has taken me four years up to this point. But if my country was invaded tomorrow morning, I'd be on a troop truck by the afternoon.

I don't really care about this country anymore, in fact I am rooting for it to go down in flames, but I wouldn't abandon my brothers. I will be fighting because they are fighting. It's just unfortunate what we will be fighting for.
