Hey,

While enjoying the fruits of this forum and mad probs to Roosh for your dedication. Going to Rio and having a nice rental close to Ipanema, but wouldnt mind meeting a wingman for some fun times.

Brief introduction Im a PhD student in developmental brain science and I enjoy fitness, my portuguese is limited third degree stuff like asking for directions.

Allready got a local english talking girl contact for some guiding and showing around, but could be cool with a cool confident intelligent guy to give the woman of Rio some quality gringo Big Grin

my msn is jonasblom (A) gmail.com

After reading on the robbery part I wonder how gringo I look, and was almost tempted to upload a picture, but will just have to see.

Have been to Manaus and there I was exotic as #¤%" everone looked.. but back then I had long curly darkblonde hair.. Smile but didnt get robbed, and get laid plenty. How dark skinned are the women compared to manaus and what about asses and Rio?

Learn to speak Portuguese, and second, learn to samba before you go - your chances of getting laid will increase tenfold! Especially during carnival season - right now.

It amwzes me how many opportunities guys miss for not being able to communicate in basic Portuguese.

I have a rule - if a girl speaks English in Brazil, and she is not Brazilian - she will bang you....if a girl speaks English and is Brazilian, she will screw you! (and not the way you want to be screwed.)

Be careful with the so called local girls that offer to be "guides" - unless you know whom you are dealing with, chances are you are being set-up for an unpleasant time. (see my wisdom above.)

Hit up other non-tourist cities if you can, I'm not a big fan of RIO myself, too much work for very little gains.

I'm a seasoned bull - I'd rather invest as little as possible, with maximum gains :-)

Enjoy the life!

Thanks, she didnt offer to be a guide. I found her and it just turned out she was really good at english, since she have been abroad. Anyways I dont buy into the paranoia thingie, more to be respectfull of being in new habitat and act accordingly. Im allrdy refreshing my pimsleur portuguese got 30 lessons on audiotape, the samba angle I hadnt thought about thats cool Smile

Anyways moving around isnt an option, since I booked the aprtment for three weeks, so Im gonna enjoy Rio and get to know it for now... really seems alot of guys including Roosh himself thinks highly of it, so I have no worries.

Cool. RIO can be fun, you just have to find its angle, and have the patience to find it, which I, did not.

My recomendations:

SHOPPING (cool thing to do when you want to kill time)

The best mall in RIO was pretty far from Copa and Ipanema, but worth it - great eye candy, and cool place to hang out with your girl of the day, and try to swoop. Check out Barra (pronounced Baja) Shopping Mall.

BEACHES:

The nicest beach, IMO, was one that was away from the tourist area, where they do a lot of hand-gliding (I forgot the name, sorry). Ask around, but I found it nice to escape the hussle and old, fat men in Speedos of Ipanema, and Copa beaches. Bring your own girl, as there are not many to game that are there alone or want to be bothered.

Nightlife -

Steer clear from the high-end nightclubs with stuck-up Patricinhas, and Piranhas - chances of swooping here are almost zero, unless you are a native Brazilian with really tight Portuguese game, and $$$. An area called "Lapa" is probably the best placed I tried.

My favorite street greeting:

"Oi gatinha, tudo bem?" - this simple phrase usually got me a big smile, and at least an opening. Keep trying 'til you hit the jackpot. :-)

Enjoy the life!

Well Im pretty confident, that the woman really find it attractive with guys that speak retardedly bad portuguese.. especially if your a cute looking guy.. its the naturally funny without seemed like a wuss, so whatever 60´s kind of bad gramtic portuguese wrongly pronounce you can say is gonna help Big Grin

Ive been reading in here and the guys with almost flawless Brazilian get the girls suspicious the are faking to be gringo... so thats def. not a plus Smile

Oh no no, they are smiling because a gringo said Oi, gatinha! in a extremely funny acent. I would. In fact, I did when I read the tread. Sorry.
But don't worry it is an ice breaking smile.

Deixa que essa fase é passageira, amanhã será melhor você vai ver a cidade inteira seu samba saber de cor!
