A few nights ago, a friend of mine brings out an ok, bangable chick. Huge tits, butterface, nice tan skin. This would normally elicit a shrug of the shoulders and nothing more, but here's the caveat;

My friend, lets call him Mikey, is retarded.

This guy has hung around with my circle of friends since Day One. He has some kind of developmental disability, speech impediment and has the squinty eyed look that would be characteristic of one of the lower caste Proles in Brave New World.

When he talks, you notice it, but his intellectual burden also has its own gift; he is totally ignorant of social cues or norms, and is fearless. I've seen him literally yell at a decent looking broad from across the bar to come talk to her, and it works. I've seen him fearlessly approach ghetto trash girls with basketball-size ass cheeks at rap concerts, standing next to their thug boyfriends, and he gets them talking.

Now, admittedly, Mikey has trouble getting past the first or second date. He doesn't exactly bag the hottest girls. But he does better than so many lame-asses who strike out with bullshit canned lines or worse, don't try at all.

But he gets his dick wet on occasion with girls who aren't total swamp pigs. He is courageous in the face of getting blown out time and time again. I think this is inspirational for a lot of us recovering betas, especially the introverts who over think and suffer from paralysis by analysis.
