You should just go to their profiles and read through the posts they've written. It'll probably take some time but pay better dividends than reading through whole threads.

Any time I find a valuable contributor on any forum, I find that's a really good way to cut straight to the chase and learn what I came to learn.

@ megaton - just search out their threads and ask them smart questions and they will help. Can't help people who can't help themselves. I'm simply validating these two, then again there are people who believe I am a "troll" I am sure so can take that for what it's worth.

@ divorco - that's a good thing, I can lift more then.

Beyond Borders,

If you do go through my posts, let me know what you like and don't like. Let me know how you think I can evolve my message. Sometimes, I think I can get a little repetitive. Any feed back is appreciated. Thanks and welcome to the forum.

Westcoast was adding value to the forum before he contacted me. I learned from many of his posts. I'm thankful that he contacted me because I have probably learned more from him then he has from me.

I don't think he is referring to threads. He is referring to face to face interaction. We have day gamed together a few times. We have met on college campuses, we have met in high end shopping areas. I've been to his house.

Westcoast has helped me improve my looks by almost a full point. After he educated me on fashion and style, I started getting way more looks from girls and started getting opened occasionally by girls.

Anyone trying to improve their game can learn alot from this guy.

I'm calling BS on the 4x your bodyweight squat. You said before that you are 155 lbs. That means your squat is 620 lbs. Thats like an NFL RB squat. No chance you are at that level. And you also stated your Bench press is 240 lbs. No chance you bench 240 but also squat 620. I'm guessing you can't do more than 2-3 reps of legit squats 2x your bodyweight.

He said Squats in the OP. No way he does legit parallel squats for 600+ lbs.

This has been a very inspiring thread thank you guys. I'm gonna start leafing through Gio and Mike's comments like a facebook stalker now hehe. (kind of creepy isn't it?) And because of this thread I'm going to try and tackle a couple of my more irrational fears head-on tomorrow since I have the day off.
Cheers guys, you rock. Badger

I would like to answer this..

I learn from everyone. First, from my family, then, my friends and classmates, then, my teachers and coaches, then my teammates. Guys at the gym, magazines, books, youtube videos, tv.

Shit, I learned a lot from my Russian neighbor who is 50 and yoked.

I learn from a lot of guys on this forum

The most useful?

Bruce Lee

And,

Muhammed Ali

And,

Bernard Hopkins

And,

Steve Nash

And,

Kobe Bryant

I found this thread though Scotian's post about Newfoundland...

The Gio thing about skydiving - I haven't done it yet but I hate heights and don't like flying much. Best way to get over that? Jump out of an aeroplane!

Anyway, I always watch 2 videos that make me excited not so much for the idea of sky-diving but just for the freedom to do what you want to do in this life.

The first is a skydiving video in Dubai:

The second is Wingsuit flying:

200 Sky dives to do a base jump.

200 base jumps to do a Wingsuit flight.

It'll take time... but I plan on getting there one day.

RE: Thank you to Gio and MikeCF
This thread is just a bit dated but I'm going to revive it because I appreciate the value they added to my life. It's too bad MikeCF is gone from here.

I was contemplating changing my career path when I came across MikeCF's podcasts. A few days later, a "Personal Finance" podcast showed up. It re-affirmed my belief that I should make a decision to leave and pursue my own passions. I'm also going to start juicing and really do follow his and his co-host's advice about being good to even the waiter/waitresses and busboys. So thank you for that.

I was doing day-gaming alone at this mall one day. Fear enveloped me. Fear of approaching. I finally made one approach and didn't ask for a number even though she may have been feeling me. I heard Gio on the Mcqueen podcast a few days later and also had the pleasure of speaking to him on the phone a few days after. It helped. My fear is still there man, but the fact that he took the time to help me meant a lot.

Once I get off this job, I'm thinking I may make it a point to meet these guys (and even some other players) just to observe them. I sincerely hope they'll be receptive to that.

Probably that it's a good idea to be cool to everyone, like the waitstaff.

Mike will be missed on this forum but I will still keep reading and commenting on D&P. His blog was 80% of the reason I even gave a shit about the manosphere in the a week ago (Roosh's blog, Wall St Playboys and the manosphere aspects of this forum are the rest).

What do I owe Mike (so far):
1. Lifting (especially HIT)
2. Improving my walk
3. Juicing
4. A no bs attitude

Probably a lot of other stuff on this list, but Mike will be sorely missed on the forum. However, I will keep in touch with him via comments on his blog.

That "you never know." More specifically, being interested and what they go through has a high likelihood to pay dividends in the long run (better table, inside tips, etc.).
