I see overweight girls with pretty or potentially pretty faces all the time.

It's a real tragedy

I can't understand the mindset of these girls-are they so obsessed with food that they prefer the pleasure of excess food to the the pleasures of getting admiring looks, attention, dates and sex from men, being admired and envied by other women, or just feeling good and liking the way they look in the mirror?

It makes me shake my head when I see chicks like this. There are so many out there who were blessed with great genetics, facial features/symmetry, hair etc and they are throwing it all away to be lazy and fat. They could be freeriding their way through life on their looks and instead would rather stuff their faces and watch Netflix. Ass ugly girls who keep themselves in shape get a lot more respect from me, bless their hearts.

Is there a name for this phenomenon? Hot face/fat body (opposite of butterface)

This phenomenon is real, but only for a medium range of 5-6 BMI points above the ideal weight. Past that point, no matter the genetic predisposition, lard inevitably begins to gather on the face as well and obscures the original facial structure such as cheekbones and chin.

Fat girls with cute faces are like dreams - by the time you realize you've seen one, she's already gone.

Just wondering if there's anything I need to 'look out' for here. Maybe I shouldn't be creeping myself out though before the hookup. LOL.

Met a cute fit light skinned black girl today. She is big into fitness and opening her own gym. She used to weigh 200 lbs and had thunder thighs. She showed me a pic. Now...her waist is really small and I think she's pretty fit though she was sitting down the whole time...she looked pretty thin as did her before and after pics.

Do girls who used to be this big and who have gotten small have "used to be fat tells"? Like extra skin hanging around , etc? Or an a formerly fat girl who gets thin truly be thin and fit when she's completely naked?

I don't see this with fat chicks but I definitely see this with chubby girls. I'm a graduate student at a large university so there are young girls everywhere on campus. There are so many girls here, all in their early 20s, that would be so much better looking if they just lost 10 or 15 lbs. It's a lost cause. If one can't stay at a healthy weight at that age, the future is hopeless.

There’s a lot of Latina girls in Los Angeles who have a 6-8 face and who are anything between 20-100lbs overweight. Go to any Target or Ralphs and look at the cashiers.

I see it quite often here in NYC. It's so sad. If they would just lose 20 lbs (which is not hard to do and can be done in the same amount of weeks) they would look fantastic.

This girl does not fit the category of this thread, but when I saw her I just had to take this picture because it displays, perfectly, the depth of the obesity problem:

For the most part, even if they do manage to lose the extra pounds and get to a close to ideal weight; they are still just one life crisis away from ballooning right back up.

It's a slippery slope, but if shit lost the weight healthy and gradually then she may be alright. A lot of factors going on. If she got fat quickly she will have stretch marks and those never go away. If she lost the weight quickly she may have some saggy skin here and there especially if she was way fat. Regardless if you got a date with a girl who is thin and takes care of herself then play ball fuck it play ball.

On the OP - I 100% agree. America is sad. I see girls all the fucking time who would look so gorgeous if they just lost 20 lbs or more. I notice a lot of girls who haven't been thin their entire lives tend to fluctuate a lot too when they lose weight and can easily go back to being fat. Some also lose it and keep it off, but it's a gamble. Unfortunately we only hear about the miracle stories from TV and other media about morbidly obese people whipping their asses into shape and staying fit.

Perfect example: there is this girl whos a friend of a friend that came to my place a while back for a get together. My friend was talking her up because he banged her in the past and wanted to introduce her to me (he's wifed up hard now and wanted to share his old football trophies I guess). Anyway, this girl comes over and she is way too chubby for me. Thick all over round face pudgy fingers and all. No go. Fast forward a few months and she comes back to my place for a get together I was throwing. She lost probably 30-40 lbs since and looks quite bangable. My buddy goes through his phone and shows me old pics from her a couple years back on Facebook - fucking smoking hot. Thin and perfect curves in all the right places. Are you shitting me? How can you let yourself go like that back and forth?

Also, it irks me so bad how many decent looking dudes I see holding hands with fat girls. The hypergamy is real and women don't give a fuck.

Another story: I just got out of a mini relationship with this 6.5/7. Pretty face, very tall, long thin legs and arms, nice tits, but a thick mid section with no figure and no ass. Never really got over it, but she was a cool chick and gave top-shelf head so I let it slide. Weirdest part is that she is very active, goes running and goes to the gym several days a week and is very dedicated to it and claims she has been ever since her teen years. I ask her what her deal is with exercise without bringing up he less-than-perfect body that I assume she is trying to fix. She tells me she would "love to be anorexic-thin as a rail with little b-sized boobs" and be able to wear strapless maxi dresses and whatnot, but she is not willing to make the necessary changes in her lifestyle to facilitate that (drink less, eat better, work out more aggressively etc.). She works out just to do it because it makes her feel good - no measure of progress or maintenance of any kind. Just no fucks given.
