Similarly , there are members banned from here, and we do not have the details as to why.

If someone was banned, simply stating one or two words, referencing the rule that they broke, or pointing to the post(s) that are related to the ban would add transparency.

Lots of previously banned guys so moving forward might be the most practical. Or details of banning guys who have passed a certain post threshold (1,000+?)

Roosh used to do this to explain why he banned a member so that other members wouldn't fall into the same trap. But he hasn't updated that thread in a while

Some areas/threads require a minimum of say 50 or 250 posts so as to be eligible to contribute (like politics)
The logical metric would be a minimum 'likes received' or rep points as this is peer driven
Some members don't post much but its gold, others prattle on with things like ideas and suggestions etc etc
Rep points being visible would be the most logical

Create a database of every useful book, website, youtube channel etc that has been suggested. Rather than people having to go through pages of threads, why not have it all in a more concise format.

Under the browser settings on your phone, select "Show desktop version".

Like pretty much all websites in existence, RVF looks a lot better and works a lot better with a phone if you *don't* use the phone version of the website.

Note: for some websites, you have to remove the ?m=1 from the end of the URL before your phone will let you see the non-shitty version of the website.

It's been said a million times, but somebody write a script to notify posters when someone replies to or quotes your post.

I go on comment binges and then I am off the forum for a few days. When I come back, I've always missed a few comments where people asked me to send them something or ask a question.

These threads are the same questions being asked repeatedly:

These threads are usually started by guys who haven't contributed to the forum, won't contribute in the future, and won't meet forum guys. They are typically low value posters who don't want to read any of the existing free information on the forum.

These guys seem to be low value guys in general. If a guy is a "where is the easiest place to get laid" type of guy then he isn't the kind of guy we want in this community.

These questions have already been answered on this forum to the greatest extent possible. Of course the best answer is usually some variation of the following post from Beyond Borders.

In general, there should be a minimum of let's say 20 posts before someone can open his own thread.

Design for mobile first, with desktop version just a bigger screen version of the mobile experience, not a completely different interface. Mobile is my only device 10 months of the year and in practice it is my only device 100% of the time. MyBB GoMobile version is good for reading but it lacks features of the desktop version. In particular, no quoting, which is why my posts lack quotes.

You can do "full desktop mode" while on mobile, it exposes quoting and like buttons on this forum...

I think it is a setting on your user control panel.

While I would not want to see advertising all over the place, I think that one or maybe even two ads could help the site.
