Kosko, Have to disagree that Toronto has bad logistics. If you live downtown, you don't even need a car. As compared to LA, there didn't seem to be a concentrated area of nightlife anywhere.

By the way, what is the 'old city' ?

What exactly is the 'davenport' area? i know the road not the area.

Parkdale is swarming with girls...seriously?

In a nutshell, talent wise there are certainly much worse places than TO. Attitude wise, same cannot be said.

That's what I am getting at. Downtown your fine but outside of that it gets dicey as you go along. I wouldn't say Toronto just has logistics as a main issue only. Since I only venture downtown you get the attutude issues from girls regardless of what end of town your at. Its a mixbag of things that hamper it at times.

What I mean by "Old City" is what Toronto used to be before 1997-2000. Before that Scarb was its own City and had its own vibe (still does), So did North York. The Old City is the only parts of town where you can survive 100% without a car:



The West end always has more shit popping off than the East. but the East is way cheaper so a lot of people are starting to swarm it. North end got tons of old money, but you got hoods like St Clair that got money and more young people.

Davenport is in around the Ossington-DuPont-Dufferin area. There's a stretch near the tracks and in that hood a lot of broads have moved there since rents area bit cheaper. Not much banging nightlife there yet, some lounges and restos are popping off, but for day game a coffee shop in the hood will be swarmed with tail.

Same with Parkdale bitches whom want to feel like they got "edge" go live there and your smack dab near some dope restos and Parts and Labour, plus it just sounds bomb because even if you live in a crack shack in Parkdale you still live off Queen West or King West, just dropping that address will get a females hamster going and make it way easier to swoop them since they can't gauge how far your place really is.

I don't do coffee shop game but I have had good success in the random times I've been at The Mascot (Parkdale). Fringe bitches from out of town always hit that up, I scooped a cute blonde from Vancouver there once.

Little Portugal also has a lot of females. Basically most downtown hoods going to have a ton of females living there. Females are more willing to shell out rent to live in a dope area then men. Dudes will pay the top price to live in a top area (King west, Cityplace etc) but they won't sniff out the other spots IMO that are 2nd tier. Females care to much what others think and will sleep in a moldy unfinished basement as longs as its on Queen West.

Did you hit Sassfrazz last time you where in TO? This place screems old school swag and a lot of young-ish rich dudes go there to try and stunt, and mix it up with older kats whom are staples there. I can picture G sutied down on the patio with a cigg telling stories on South Spain with a crowd around him ,while he talks shit on some fools 04' Porche.

I had a sick loft at Queen/Spadina when I lived in TO. Less than 3 blocks from the club district and never had a problem with logistics ever... if you guys can afford it throw down the money. Its worth it. Personally, I always try to live downtown in every city I move to. I still don't understand why TO gets such a bad rep on here. Besides the influx of hipster douche bags I think its an awesome city.

Haha From the bar? If I was going out alone probably 1 in 4. My club game has always been pretty weak though... I usually just got a good buzz on, got some numbers, then got trashed and just had a good time. I would hit them up throughout the week. First date lays have always been really good to me. Harder cities you have to rely more on your social circle. I lived with a gorgeous bartender and this crazy Russian model, I also was in school for Fine Arts so my only competition was gay guys and those emo hipster kids. So needless to say women were everywhere, I just had to put in the effort. Being downtown is where the action is. I knew lots of women that lived in the outskirts and were just looking for an excuse to come downtown. Sometimes I would go out with my boys and some chick would message me saying she was walking past my place after a night out with her girl friends. Thats an guaranteed lay, and you know shit like that doesn't happen out in North York or Scarborough. Work that extra 2 weeks before you move somewhere so you can afford a quality place. Logistics are half the battle... Thats probably why the Indian troll lost his mind a long time ago hahaha

Oh I thought I alluded to it. Give me a few more details Blandsdowne is way more laid back and only has a few spots. I would say hit Parkdale and the goto to spot of Parts and Labour. Have dinner upstairs or mack at the bar the n move downstairs to the dive bar at like 11. Its a good spot where you get people dressed up and scensters and hipsters. I am not sure what jam is going downthere Saturday night i'll try and check that.

Canadians have a fetishism for Americans. But I think the "swag" part is overblown they view typical American style and mannerism as superior to their own. The American card has been played in Toronto I do not know if it has as much cache as lets say in Calgary or Winnipeg where just having an accent will get you bangs. OGs say Toronto was like that in the 90's where Americans could jump of a plane and clean house.

Logistics are part of the battle, but the attitude is biggest problem. Those girls posted in the pics probably all think they are special, which a few of them are but most are not.

El Mech - Tampa has a different vibe altogether than Toronto, it is way more relaxed and people are generally friendlier. Girls actually started conversations with me when I was there and I got a few looks in the mall. In Toronto, girls look straight ahead and I only talk to you when they are drunk.

I encourage anyone to come here and try there "game", still waiting on BQ's report.

I am stuck out in surburbia for the time being, I would love to own a condo in the Thompson Hotel.

Cool Kosko, I see where you're coming from. I agree with avoiding clubs and doing the bar/lounge thing- I was always in the band/music scene, and that worked well, and had the type of girls I'm into, anyway.

Curious to hear more about this "attitude"... I've heard that the guys here are beta, and b/c of this the girls think they're the shit. But wouldn't this just make it easier for an alpha dude? You'd stand out so much.

This thread confirms a suspicion of mine that one's experience in Toronto is heavily dependent on being an highly experienced expert at game.
If you have truly tight game and a good bankroll, Toronto is probably better due to the centralization of the night life around Q West, a cooler cultural vibe, and a lower obesity rate. However, if you are still struggling DC is better. In DC women will at least talk to me if I approach. In Toronto I can't count on that. DC girls have a better (not good) attitude and the competition is not nearly as bad as Toronto. One friend who also moved to DC from Ontario said to me after 5 sentences "You know, it's a lot easier to meet women here in DC".

I would also argue that girls in DC have better faces, so if you are stuck with overweight girls it doesn't sting as much. If DC girls lost weight (not counting on that ever happening), they would flat out be better than Toronto girls.

i have noticed the following problems with toronto in my year and a half of on and off cold approaching at night, some of which are confirmations of the observations of other people, others my own observations:

- low quality women
the people here are just aesthetically middling and mediocre and the women are accordingly so. i disagree with anybody who thinks that canada is untouched by american-style obesity. there is a lot of bulge. another thing is the demographic element. if you're a white guy or non-white guy who goes after and prefers white girls then you will notice that toronto has a lot of non-whites (namely east, southeast, and south asians) who make (in tandem with the abovementioned factors of obesity and mediocrity) that "cute blonde" some kind of precious gem in toronto, kind of like how roosh has described DC as being, whereas in a place like LA/socal she'd be a totally common sight. i think my recent trip to LA has really inflated my standards lol. an LA 6 is practically like a toronto 8.

- cougar problem
there are just way too many old-ass women taking up space in nighttime venues here. what are they doing? they need to get the fuck out. i'm still unsure as to where the 19-23 year old cohort regularly finds itself. the richmond street club district? and yet i'm told that place is dead or dying. i need to check out places like This Is London again lol.

- everywhere is a sausagefest

maybe in hipster bars guys are meek, but everywhere else, that is, non-niche/scene places, toronto dudes approach a fair bit. this is not roosh's poland or estonia.

- not a strong hookup culture, much less ONS culture
i remember following this dallas-based pick up guru who said something along the lines of "if a woman is out on the town at night, then somewhere deep inside of her is the desire to meet a new man". toronto has shown me that that's total bullshit. there are a lot of groups, a lot of wholly uninterested women.

- pre-approach IOIs and women approaching
i feel like in toronto you need to be a 8+/10 guy to ever get these things. the custom suit i wear doesn't have as strong as an effect as i'd like it to. women in the streets don't make eye contact and just stare straight ahead. it's kind of bizarre. i've tried walking while staring at a fixed point in the distance and i can't do it. i'm a human being, i like to take in my surroundings.


all of that said, i am still a beginner/intermediate guy. i need to work on my game much more, and once i do that i will make out much better no doubt. and i have yet to try daygame.

I get IOIs when I am not downtown. Downtown, I feel like I am invisible to the girls, but when I am at some of the uptown malls, I usually get IOIs from girls that are 6s and 7s. The 8s and above don't look at anybody. I have seen watched to see if they check out the guys who might be considered a 9, but then don't look at them either. By default, it's a blank stare. You have to do something to catch their attention.

I'll post some other comments about other things (e.g. logistics) later, but let me comment on this right now. Downtown is very bad for girls checking out guys. Doesn't matter how good you look. It's almost like they have to accidentally look at you if you're going to get any attention. Then if you're super attractive their attraction will be made obvious. If I was somewhere else right now, I believe women would be stopping me in the street (no joke: I have many women look at me like I'm one of the best looking guys they've ever seen), but in Toronto I walk around mostly unnoticed.
