I am considering a holiday where I will drive across Europe with my car, staying one week in a place to have fun and work.

The idea is that I for example drive on Sundays, do the touristy thing on Monday and Tuesday, and work from Wednesday till Saturday, while of course still going out and having fun in the evenings.

One route I was thinking of was: Croatia (Split) - Montenegro - Italy (Rome) - Corsica. (I am starting in Germany.)

That is four weeks of travel and includes taking some ferries, but it could be some fun..

I just wonder if I would be able to concentrate on work much. And the planning has to be good as well, I don’t want to stay in expensive, too crowded or too crappy places without Internet for example. (Although I assume there is Internet everywhere nowadays..)

Hmmh..

I have no obligations at home for at least a month and I have a ton of work to be done which can be done from anywhere I can plug in my computer.

So is this a good idea or not? Anyone of you did something similar?

Another negative thing is possible loneliness (after all at home I have buddies and girls to hang out with).

Yes, this sounds like a great idea. If you're worried about being lonely, pipeline to meet with some locals and make friends when you're over there.
