I retraced my steps from Cali because i still had to visit Bolivia again ( and see the countryside) and Paraguay,Uruguay and south of Brazil. I had my mind set on visiting every country in South America and had to take a few drastic steps to make that happen. I didn't fly at all in SA, I did everything by bus. I remember flights being quite expensive withing south america. I travel on the fly so I can only book one week ahead.

I'll answer the other questions tomorrow. I need to get some sleep. I have a (very shitty) job now and need to get up early.

I've fucked some girls from CS but I always found it better to use dating sites because that way you know the girls are on there because they want to date / fuck a foreigner where as on CS you can never be sure, some genuinely just want to hang out with foreigners.

Flights in SA are very expensive, they aren't good value for money at all.

I had the "smart" idea to not to be tangled up in some responsible office job where people expect me to stay a long time. I want to be able to drop my work whenever i want.

I got a blue collar job in a warehouse where I literally carry carton boxes from point A to B inside the building. The work is terrible and very hard. I could feel every muscle and bone in my body the first days and was totally destroyed in the evening. I don't know how i will keep this up for minimum wage. The plus side is that i'm out of the house and socializing way more then before and since the workforce is mainly Polish, there is a cute girl working there. The problem is that her breaks aren't same as mine and I barely see her. Today I went to look for her in the warehouse and finally found her work spot but got horribly cockblocked by her colleague who nearly chased me away before I could even say a word to the Polish girl. This old and ugly Turkish woman started shouting I was at the wrong department and kept bugging me about it. I was so shocked and surprised by this that I tailed out of there.

I would say that I at least kissed 75% of girls i met on CS. I swear to my conversational game described in the book. This is what works best for me. The other 25% were not interested or used an old profile picture so that i was unpleasantly surprised when we met.

Flakage was quite high in Cali/colombia and Quito/Ecuador. I had shitloads of responses in Brazil but it was always hard to plan a meet/flakage.

I approached tons of girls in mainly Argentina and Brazil. The approach to bang ratio was very low. The approach to kiss ratio in Brazil was quite high. Other countries had better chances but I heavily relied on online gaming sine this is my strong point.

Most difficult countries to get laid in SA: Colombia and Argentina

Easiest (for me) Peru,Suriname,Chile

I had the book edited by a forum member recently. He did a good job but I thought about hiring an professional editor later. I was caught up in small time thinking for too long and needed to see the big picture. Having a job and some money in my pocket definitely helped me take this decision.

I hired an excellent editor for my book last week via Odesk. The guy is doing an fast and amazing job so far. The difference is mind blowing. Wish I wasn't so stupid and I should have done it earlier but better late than never.

I'm planning to relaunch in a few weeks.

Neil, I'll probably throw up a review on amazon tomorrow or at least in the next few days.

Overall, I thought it was well done and combined with NN's book which I read directly after yours, ignited a travel bug in me that will be hard to lose anytime soon.

Plus, you've made me rethink my position about SE Asia. I had no desire to go there at all, but you just made it sound so interesting and a place where I can get into loads of crazy shit.

These are the kinds of posts that just make me scratch my head and makes me think that each persons experience in a foreign country is so subjective and individual that it really can't be compared to anyone else's.

Short of everyone posting pics of themselves and the women they bang along with their language fluency and how you approach women...it is kind of hard to see the value in guys giving their personal experiences.

Can't really imagine a place easier to get laid by 7's and 8's than Colombia.

Well I'll admit that I have been going to Colombia for a while now. Started almost 20 years ago....I speak Spanish at a high level now but it wasn't always that way. And even in the beginning I got laid on a regular basis.

I realize I have an advantage on a number of levels.....have a nice car and a kick ass pad and meet most of the women I go out with through my social circle.....but I'm also 50 years old. I'm not fat, ugly or out of shape but I'm 50 and I still pull hot women in their early 20's here...no problem.

I mostly hang in Cali and I think it is the consensus with most gringos that it is quite a bit easier to get laid in Cali than it is in Medellin anymore.

When I have taken short trips to Medellin.... it takes me twice as long to get laid there than Cali. But that really doesn't bother me all that much because when I find one I really like.... I usually hang with her awhile as opposed to constantly trying to up my notch count.

I'm looking to go completely expat in the next year so I'll be heading over to Medellin in October to see if I can really connect with the Paisas before moving to Cali on a permanent basis.

I have posted pics of women that I have gone out with before....but I have to start taking more pics that is for sure.

All this talk about getting laid is pointless without pics....I get laid all the time....I'm much more concerned about how I'm getting laid...is she a knock out or just slippin in under the wire.

Confirmed, WEDO is 100% the real deal, just too bad he's not down here now cuz I'd be hopping on the next plane to Cali to party with him again. I'm heading to Medellin on Wednesday, I'll keep you guys posted.

Alright, so I just finished reading Neil's book as promised. First thing I gotta say: What a long ass book! took me quite a few days to finish it, but it was a great book nonetheless. Its amazing how reading a book like this after reading books like The 4 Hour Workweek gives you that good feeling of going out and live life.

At first I wasn't very fond of the writing style, and I admit sometime the thought of putting the book down crossed my mind, however I decided to stick with it and I got used to it and then started feeling comfortable with it. As I kept reading more, Neil's hummor grew on me and I could start enjoying the book more.

Regarding the Tips & Tricks section at the end of the book, I was actually going to skip it but I'm glad I did not. I learned a few new things and earned new perspectives, also I laughed alot too with that section.

Regarding typos and other errors, I didn't mind much. Since we interact with Neil over this forum it didn't felt like a big deal. However if you are aiming for readers that are not that close to you (not that many of us here are, including myself) then you gotta work on this aspect, I know you got somebody to help you, hope that turned out well.

Finally, I want to say that I strongly recommend this book. I read it right after reading Roosh's A Dead Bat in Paraguay and Nomad's book and its amazing how all books talk about gaming, pickup, adventure and travelling, but they also differ alot in their writing style and experiences.

Great work Neil, hope there is more to come.

I really loved Neil's book. It was an adventure and I enjoyed seeing his progression in game. His book is also what got me to book a ticket to SEA. Thx Neil. In terms of writing should have teamed with somebody with English as their first language, but I didn't mind too much. My favorite thing about your writing is that I feel very confident that everything you wrote about actually happened. I saw your ups and downs, and your story is 100% believable. I have read other travel books and because of how it is written it's much less believable, could have happened but much harder to believe. Thanks for the book, it was the cause of me getting to sleep very late haha, couldn't put it down.

Yeah I wanted to mention this too. Somehow Neil's writing even though you might call it less professional (?) , makes the reader feel the story is actually true, more sincere, in other words. Unlike some other travel books in which there's just way too much up and not much down, its still enjoyable but makes it harder to believe.

Props to Neil on that.

Glad you enjoyed the book and I inspired you to travel. I actually teamed up with a professional editor (Canadian) about 5 weeks ago and he edited the whole 200k words for grammar and fluffed up the text a bit. The writing style is still the same and I get quite a lot of comments on it. Most people like the fast style of story telling and to read a travel book which isn't dragging it's description of a sunrise over two pages.

This editing is nearly bankrupting me but i'm pretty sure it will earn itself back in a few months.

I tried sending out a shitload of Press releases to newspapers. Cost me two full days but I never heard back from any of them.
Mostly I mail backpacker blogs/websites and ask them to do a link exchange and give them some back ground on my story. I offer to do guestposts and/or interviews. Not many reply but I think the main strategy is getting the word out by word of mouth.
I have done a few interviews an a guestpost but most website managers are very slow or hesitant in their placing. For obvious political correct reasons.
My book is mainly aimed at backpackers/travelers and i'm sure that word spreads fast in the hostel/guesthouse scene since girls are a good subject to talk about over some beers.

I'm planning to hit up some major (PUA) forums too just to get the word out a bit. Just for promotional purposes. RVF is my one and only forum.

There are also lots of good tips given by other posters here in this thread and i still have to follow up on.

For now, most importantly is to get the new and improved 2nd version up and running and even more important getting a job in real life™ and according to my friends and family getting back to reality too.

Also getting out of my hermit lifestyle is high on my list.
