Did one today. I was getting frustrated because I couldn't find any suitable targets in situations where I like approaching. So I told myself I need to be more bold, and try different types of approaches. Plow through my comfort zone. Give up on my fussiness on how I want things to be before I approach, and work with things how they are.

I'm walking down the street and a girl was eating lunch at a table on the sidewalk outside a store. I stopped and held out my hand. She looked at me with doe eyes, and looked skeptical, but shook my hand. In a reassuring voice, I said "just saying hi." She laughed. We exchanged names. She was wearing scrubs so I asked her if she was a doctor. She said no, she worked at Walgreens. I asked her for medical advice for my ankle, and she laughed. After a minute or so, I sat down in the empty chair next to her. We had a nice conversion while she ate lunch.

When she was done, she got up to walk back to work and said "It was nice talking to you. I hope we run into each other again." At this point I was sitting and she was walking away looking back. I said "yeah, why don't we exchange numbers." She said "I can't, but hopefully I'll see you around."

So that was it. It was pleasant and playful conversation. I enjoyed it.

I think what I need to work on next is being more efficient, and getting my numbers up. I only had 2-3 approaches all weekend. I'd like to get to the point where I crank out 10 or more in one weekend. I mostly go indirect, but indirect takes so much time. I'm going to try a mix of direct and indirect. I'm also going to push myself to approach in bolder ways. The approach today is one example of that. I sat down at a table with a girl eating lunch alone. I guess for some that's not super bold, but it's more bold than usual for me. So adjustments like this will help me get my numbers up.

I think a strength of mine is I can be reassuring. When the cat is a little scared, you can talk her out of it with a reassuring voice and a "no big deal" attitude. I use humor too. As I go bolder, I can use the "time constraint" technique to calm her down. By that I mean, say you have to encroach on a girl's personal space to make an approach, if she looks a little startled or anxious, say "...just 30 seconds because I have to run and meet my friend, but I wanted to say blah blah."

I had a girl run an indirect approach on me yesterday. Good learning experience to be on the other side. Lol.

I was at Jamba Juice and got my order and she swung by and said "what is there a party in here?" I laughed so she nonchalantly made her way over and starting pointing at the menu and asking me if I tried this drink or that and talking about the ingredients. In effect, elderly chat.

Since she opened, I let her drive. My heart wasn't into because she was a 5. It fizzled out quick.

She had a pretty good opener and her initial ramble was good, but she couldn't keep the conversation going. I was polite and smiling and going along with it but I wasn't going to take over the steering wheel and drive.

Good learning experience though. I might use her opener or variations on it. It was a good opener to start a conversation without being high pressured.

Got number of German girl. I was at post office dealing with some Bureaucracy. Turns out this German girl is also for same reason. She was with three other girls but only one giving ioi. I jumped into the conversation but not even talking to her. She turns to me and starts talking about "yes, I said that too". I didn't respond and didd't followed up a conversation with her from there, which I could when I think about it. Later the other girls left and I had a free-hand. I said it was really hard to find the post office. From there I didn't stop talking and she was loving the small chat. Later I asked to exchange numbers. She said "when are your classes start?".." so I guess I see your monday?" I guess she was hinting at going out in the weekend but I didn't got the bait at the time. Maybe I will call her.

Never would of had the guts to do this a while back. Hopefully I'll bump into her at a happy hour some time

Couple weeks ago I was driving and saw woman with a Jordan Carver physique walking down the street. It was one of those " I gotta do it" moments. Raced ahead and parked, got out to pay the meter and waited for her to walk over. Put on a confused look and opened with "Do you know how to get to Trader Joe's is?"...nice chat, about 5 minutes maybe. She abruptly had to leave though so I just threw a Hail Mary:

me:"One last thing- you've been very helpful. Do you want to grab a drink sometime and chat some more?"
her: "Oh, no I'm married. My husband will be mad."

First of all, I'm doing all my approaches in Japanese so I was pretty nervous running in front of a girl and stopping her from walking. And gaming direct in japanese.

I run ahead of her....

overall it was a good experience, it wasn't bad or anything. I was nervous as fuck doing it. The hardest part was running in front of the girl to stop her. I know i wasn't holding eye contact very well and I know i can fix some things i did, but this was my first time doing this direct style approach ! feels good.

University is starting again and I had to hand in a few documents during my lunch break. Saw a cute petite brunette on my way to the office, I just had to approach her. I don't have much experience with day game and was nervous as fuck, but I gave it a go anyway.

You didn't get to know her well enough to ask her for drinks. It was very out of the blue and sort of inappropriate to the context because of that.

At best I think you could've done something like "hey this is pretty random but i have 15 minutes wanna go grab a coffee?"

Something I try to focus on is getting personal with the conversation pretty quickly. Not only you'll have a legitimate reason to ask her out later but it'll also seem like you're screening her.

Good advice. But to the OP, don't beat yourself up over it... It could be any number of things:

She could be lesbian

She could have a boyfriend

She might like guys of a certain ethnicity

And so on...

Even if she liked you she may not have said "yes". Don't worry about it. On to the next one #jayz

Guys, fake phone calls.

Today I saw a cute girl getting into the same bus as me, and naturally thought about a way to approach. My bus goes to the train station and we transfer.

She was up ahead of me and went into the train first. I followed her in a minute later, but had my phone pulled out before hand and I was talking, to myself.

I talked in Portuguese because I find it is different for others to hear. I sat near her without looking at her, focused in my conversation. In my periphery I notice she is taking looks at me as I speak, while she reads her book. I end the call a minute later and put my phone away.

I glance casually at her and without hesitation I look at her book 'is that game of thrones you are reading?'

She replies and asks me if I have read it too. From there it was basic conversational threading. She put her book away in her purse within 2 minutes.

It was great, but I got the short end of the stick this time. She got off the same station as me 10 minutes later, but I assumed she was going to walk home in my direction after figuring out her logistics, but she instead took the bus. She parted ways quickly and it would have been desperate to just shout for her number. She was very enthusiastic during conversation and I exchanged names with her at the end.

I'll see her again eventually, hopefully it's not while I'm talking to some other girl.

I walked into a Deli to order a sandwich. I was tired, I didn't feel like approaching anyone.

The other customer was a thin girl who was sitting down looking at her phone. I didn't pay any attention to her.

Until, she got up to pick up her sandwich, she was a cute, thin Latina with long hair. She was standing near me talking to the Deli lady..

I tried not to laugh. I just smirked a little while she kept her poker face!

I almost followed right behind her to say "excuse me", but instead I just watched her through the glass window. She got in her car but didn't start it. She took a bite of her sandwich. I waited..

Finally, she started her car, I was at her window 2.5 seconds later, she saw me coming so I held my finger as if to say "hold on a second". She rolled down her window and our eyes met..

I was so tired that I forgot to smile..

me: hey wanna talk again sometime?
her: umm ya sure
me: sorry my name is gio
her: gio like giovanni
me: yes
her: do you have a card?
me: no

Blah, blah, blah..

Got her number but she lives an hour away so this approach was mostly just for practice and "keeping my sword sharp".

It's funny, you could argue even the fact that she went along with your advice and ordered the sandwich with the ah jour sauce despite never having had it before was a sign that she was probably attracted to you. You were already playing the role of teacher to her student here.

I forgot about an approach I did a weekend or two ago. There's this great higher end pizza place with a nice covered patio setup, cool ambiance, great lighting and very good pizzas, beer, and wine that my two older more financially set friends have been going to. They invited me to come and get pizza and beer with them, telling me about their great octoberfest special (through the entire month a liter of certain good beers is $15 and you get to take the HUGE mug home...refills are $10 for the entire month if you bring that mug back).

I joined my buddies and they actually ended up having a big group of volleyball players with them so we kind of took over the patio and were definitely the loud/raucous group. I noticed that our waitress was very cute and had a great body. I happened to know the manager on staff (from another spot he used to work at with an ex-gf of mine) so I wandered over to him and shot the shit, finding out that she was only 21 but she as far as he knew she was single. Thanked him for the low down and proceeded to flirt with her a little bit (very minimal) when she'd be by our table.

Afterwards when the bill came, we sorted it out (a couple cards), and I grabbed the book and walked it over to her, catching her away from employees and patrons for a moment:

<AneroidOcean> Hey [girl's name], thanks for the great service, but there was a little problem with the bill.
<Waitress> Oh? *as she turns and looks to the book as I open it up and point to check*

Now, this method of asking for a waitresses number has worked 100% for me so far in the 6-7 times I've used it. Not bad. This was my first failure. She rejected me softly saying that she doesn't give numbers out to guys at work and I asked her, "not even to cute guys?" and she still denied me so I told her "that's too bad" and excused myself back to the table.

Hey, I tried, maybe I'm just not her style with my current commando beard going on.

The reason I remembered this approach is because yesterday I went back to the same spot to meet up with the same two guys (with my mug in hand of course) who were alone this time and brought my friends with benefits Maria and our mutual cute blonde friend with an amazing ass. Maria was looking damn good with her long legs in a nice shorter black skirt (and freshly fucked by me so she was glowing/happy), and our mutual friend was all done up and looking sexy herself. The two guys were very happy to have them join us and we had a great time.

The same waitress I'd asked out before was kind of filling in for a runner so she ended up bringing us our pizza and a couple beers throughout the night. I'm pretty sure she recognized me and noticed the two girls I brought with me and even if I'm not her style, it's good for her to see that in case I find another cute waitress to ask out there or in case the same one changes her mind as I know I'll be back there again.

Man those liter beers are filling, though.

I was in Montreal last week. I was disappointed in the quality of the women. A lot of ink, Skillex, obesity. They didn't seem very warm either. Not what I expected based on data sheets on RVF.

I only did one true approach (though I did some major flirting with hot store clerks).

This is how the approach went down...

I was walking down the street and saw a girl wearing yoga pants with an absolutely amazing shit box. She looked Asian from behind. Petite with a great ass - just how I like them. I was far back so I jogged to catch up, then walked fast as I got closer.

Eventually, I was walking along side her. She was not Asian after all. Cute face too, but that ass.. Madonne! Early 20s. She had ear buds in. I looked at her in obvious ways to get he attention. She looked at me. I waved my arms around. She took her ear buds out, looked a little annoyed and goes "huh?"

Dusty: Just saying 'hi'. I thought you looked cute so I thought I'd just say 'hi'.

We walked for several blocks talking about Quebec French versus Paris French etc. She was really friendly and chatty.

Then some dudes pasted by and said something to her in French. She looked confused, then recognized one of the guys.

She goes: Oh I need to talk to them. Can you wait here a few minutes? (She seemed a little uncomfortable in how to handle the situation. Her friends were standing a few feet away waiting for to come over. I would have felt like a douche bag waiting around while she talked to them).

Dusty: Sorry, I can't wait but it was nice talking to you!

Her: I enjoyed it! Have a nice time in Montreal !

We may have hugged, I cant remember. I never got her name.

I was walking down the street and saw a girl wearing yoga pants with an absolutely amazing shit box. She looked Asian from behind. Petite with a great ass - just how I like them. I was far back so I jogged to catch up, then walked fast as I got closer.

Eventually, I was walking along side her. She was not Asian after all. Cute face too, but that ass.. Madonne! Early 20s. She had ear buds in. I looked at her in obvious ways to get he attention. She looked at me. I waved my arms around. She took her ear buds out, looked a little annoyed and goes "huh?"

Dusty: Just saying 'hi'. I thought you looked cute so I thought I'd just say 'hi'.

(Her faced brightened immediately and she smiled)

Her: Oh, thank you!

Dusty: Ah, a French accent. You must be from Montreal.

Her: Actually , I'm from Paris !

Dusty: Oh how nice, you're on vacation?

Her: No. I'm living here for 3 years. I got my undergrad from McGill and staying for 3 years blah blah....

We walked for several blocks talking about Quebec French versus Paris French etc. She was really friendly and chatty.

Then some dudes pasted by and said something to her in French. She looked confused, then recognized one of the guys.

She goes: Oh I need to talk to them. Can you wait here a few minutes? (She seemed a little uncomfortable in how to handle the situation. Her friends were standing a few feet away waiting for to come over. I would have felt like a douche bag waiting around while she talked to them).

Dusty: Sorry, I can't wait but it was nice talking to you!

Her: I enjoyed it! Have a nice time in Montreal !

We may have hugged, I cant remember. I never got her name.

Only feedback would be to say "actually I can't wait around, but toss me your number and we'll continue our conversation tonight"

You're right. I think my new rule is always go for the digits when I felt a real mutual rapport, regardless of logistic challenges.

I had my craziest approach last night. I will need to do a write up later. I thought she was better looking pre approach, but couldn't eject. The girl was so thrilled to be approached, I felt like the she was ready to blow me on the street. Lol.
