In thinking about my approaches last night, something interesting is ticking me off.

I had two pairs of girls that I was gunning for. I kept the conversation natural, not really gaming that hard, holding back on the sarcasm etc...Just talking. In fact, since the bar wasn't that crowded or loud, I was running a little Day Game, dropping bait etc.

Not one bite, okay, no worries. 0/2. That ain't shit.

Now, what's REALLY discouraging was watching other dudes approaching these same pairs of chicks. The second pair of chicks were both pretty cute, solid 7.5s, and I saw a guy go up to them shortly after me, and seemed like he was doing better. He looked more beta, more "nice guy" but he was getting a better reaction from the chicks, more laughs. I stood a few feet away and learned what I could.

Sure enough like clockwork, his wing comes up and introduces himself after. I'm thinking, "These guys are solid, they pulled the infiltrator/wingman rear guard tactic". Wingman is even better looking and wearing a blazer, looking sharp. If there were any dudes that had it in the bag, it was these two.

A few minutes after the wing shows up, the conversation fizzles and the girls ignore the two. This was actually discouraging to me. These bitches were treating every guy there like a clown. I'm seeing this more and more in bars.

I was looking sharp too and holding some good conversation.

In retrospect I think if I'd shown up in a leather jacket and treated these girls like shit it might've worked better.

Approach that el-mech tried to cockblock from over 800 miles away yesterday .....

I leave, slightly pissed at how the logisitics didnt work out and how the other girls didn't leave. I get a text from her after an hour saying 'I hope you dont get run over' (I was biking to the train station), and I reply with 'I'm fine, though waiting for the train sucks', to which she says "I hope I made it worth the wait"

In my mind, I'm like 'No bitch, you didn't', but i just dont text back.

We both dont drive, and public transit takes about an hour from me to her. We both have roommates, so I am not sure how this is going to work out. I really want to bang this chic though, mostly cause of how she is unfazed by anything i say that other girls find offensive.

I definitely wouldn't say my game is kissass by any means. I'm usually a pretty cocky and sarcastic mofo. I've been trying to find my "sweet spot", that balance of sarcastic/cocky, and genuine/nice. It's been hard, especially since venues in L.A. can be drastically different. You can start in west hollywood and deal with a dumb actor/model blonde, head to hollywood and deal with a hipster slut, go downtown and deal with an asian.

I wasn't so much bummed at my performance, I could care less. I mean, I ran two approaches and I'm rusty, not going out like I used to. If I'd run 50 approaches this week and didn't so much as get a number then that would be cause for alarm.

It's more that I thought the dude after me was doing well, in fact I was rooting him on and he fell flat too. It adds to the building resentment I get towards women sometimes, that voice in my head that says, "Bitch, you would be lucky to get a guy like that, or a guy like me. In another 5 years you'll hit that wall hard and think back to when guys used to give you more attention." Of course this is unhealthy and my resolution should simply keep approaching until something sticks. I know this.

First foray into DayGame today. Kinda of stumbled into it. Was at a sports goods store getting crap for my costume. I went to her section cuz she was the hottest in the store lol. Long story short, after she was appalled of me being Lance Armstrong I opened her up, kept asking dumb ass questions, and then shit was smooth after that. Broad practically followed me into the change room where I was trying on under armor. Shirt off. Done deal.

Opened two chicks, each literally one third my age in coffee shop. College town in Northern California. She freely talked to me about some complicated linguistics stuff, I ended up giving her my interesting filmmaking card. She told me she was in a sorority, and I didn't bother even going to for the number because she didn't seem very excited although very personable and willing to talk.

I more briefly opened an Asian maybe 21. She seemed actually attracted but I didn't go for the number. Goddamn I am rusty. It's crazy how just a few weeks or a month off can put you so far behind. And I didn't feel rusty until I got into the bar last night.

And I wasn't rusty in a way I thought I'd be, I was approaching fine, spitting game fine, it was the little details. Like screening. I completely forgot about screening.

I was looking around the venue ready to approach anything and everything and then realized, "Wait, these chicks are a fucking waste of time."

At the venue there's two bars, I managed to pull a cute hipster chick dressed as a cat away from her friend to get a drink at the bar opposite where we were (hilarious to me that the chick didn't once question why I'd want to get a drink at the OTHER bar when there was one right in front of us). Her fat cockblock friend literally held out her hand like a mother grasping for her baby in utter desperation, like, "WAIT...WAIT.... YOU'RE LEAVING ME?!?" and the hipster cat girl was like, "It's cool it's cool, we're just going for a drink".

Got some good conversation for about 15 minutes but I didn't escalate physically enough, which is usually my strongpoint. I just wasn't getting any heavy IOIs but I should have barged it nonetheless. I felt the timer ticking down until she had to go back to her friend and I just didn't manage to get anywhere with her.

First night out in about a week, and since Europe. Trendy new spot in LA, great ration and talent last night. My buddy opened up 3 girls, jumped in on one of the girls and she was just responding for the sake of it, went nowhere and the girls were just grabbing a drink before another party anyway. Sit at the bar and turn around and see this girl who I'd gone out with a few times but never banged. Start talking, teasing that she's stalking me (second time we've ran into each other out in LA, small town apparently). She seems to be very into me, keeps calling me a player, etc. Won't let me kiss her though despite having done so before on dates. Kept with her for awhile, dancing, touching heavily. Then leaves for another party. By this time it was dying down. Made a few more approaches but it's really hard to turn it on again after being with one girl for 2 hours or so.

It's tough to go out solo at first, but you'll get the hang of it. Eventually it will become second nature. Don't worry about being blown out. I think Mixx said something like if you get blown out by one girl just go to another one and tell her how you can't believe how mean the girl that just blew you out was while pointing the girl out.

Going out without dressing up on Halloween will be tough. Everyone else around you is dressed up, and it's also a natural opener and talking point.
