Why would two girls just go out for the night on their own? To stare at each other's faces the entire night?

The catch is you're not going to isolate the girl you want - she won't ditch her friend and let her be alone, so a competent wingman is key. So your game is only as good as your wingman's. I've had many sets blown where the girl was very into me, but was pulled away by the friend because my wingman couldn't hold court with the other girl. If you can isolate your girl and your wingman his, and you both run tight game, you're money.

I have to agree with Samseau on this one. Going solo is your best bet unless you have a wing-man who has legendary game and is fully dedicated to keeping the friend away from your target. I think the key to gaming a duo/trio is to win over both girls and make them comfortable with you. So that they wont have a problem with you isolating your friend. It is normally easier to isolate when its a trio because the other 2 girls can talk to each other if they dont find other men to chat up.

Somw are just out for attention. And if they are hot, they'll get it.

Sometimes they are out to get laid, but just as often, they are paired up so that they can enjoy male adulation without risking falling prey to their own hormones/horniness, because they know their wing will cockblock them if they get too tipsy/horny. That's why Mystery Method is so strong on befriending all the girls in set.

As long as the other girl is cool with you it is very doable to get laid on a 2-set by yourself. In my first year my wing(s) would pan off more often on my lays than banging the other girl. Of course in the situations it DOES work out two on two that is very nice.

But MM sucks, because all you get from pandering to their friends is the attention they want from you anyway.

Overall, my experience is that they're out to get laid. Particularly if:

-Separate often

I always thought the point of a wingman was to neutralize the other girl. In my experience with early 20s girls in my locale, cockblocking is far more common than a girl miraculously finding a man of her own.

First, if the girls aren't talking or paying much attention to each other, then you don't have anything to worry about. Just open girl you like and go for it.


If the girls are facing each other and talking/dancing non-stop then you need to open both, get them both smiling, then focus on the girl you like.

If you get cockblocked then you get cockblocked.

The fact is, cockblocking is a part of American life. If her girlfriends don't like you, you aren't gonna bang her.

However, if her friend thinks you'd be a good match for her friend, she won't cockblock.



But if you have a wingman, not only does she (a) have to approve of you but (b) also approve of your wingman.

I came to this realization recently myself. I would say that girls who move in pairs are definitely more DTF. (I also realized that if they are sitting at the bar, as opposed to dancing, then they probably are DTF. At least this is true where I live.) You don't need a wingman, but having someone else (whether a wingman or some random dude) in the picture helps greatly. For a one night stand, the girls you target have to be specific otherwise the logistics don't work. Generally cannot be a 2 set, it can happen but is really hard to do. Because the two girls are each others lifeline, they usually will not ditch each other and the other girl will be a huge cockblock; you just met this girl, 90% of the time she'll pick her friend over you but will require nagging from her friend. Need a really good wing, but even then its hard, both girls have to be single and both have to be willing and in the mood for a one night stand that night.

Girls that are by themselves are rare but easy. They're sketchy and you need to wrap it up, always wrap it up but be extra careful. I've had girls try to trick me into bareback all the time, so just be cautious and always be prepared.

3-4 sets are a bit easier. Your target can't be the DD, and is logistically harder if she's from out of town, but can be easier to get her in bed if she is from out of town; you just have to be willing to drive. Sometimes you'll catch one of them come up to both of you if you're making out with one girl and she'll ask the other girl if she's ok. Your target can tell the girl she's ok or just dust you with the escape. If in a three set or larger and you're already in with the target, you can casually take her hand and guide her away to a more isolated spot or just flat out tell them/ask them, "Hey, guys. I'm going to borrow her for a minute. OK?!" They're usually cool with it. If you get them home during the isolation part, they'll probably blow up her phone. But if you're doing it right, you should already be ballz deep in that shit. She can worry about the 20 missed calls in the morning.

Two sets are easy. I think the largest set I've ever done was a 10 set of nurses. They rewarded me with attention for just having the balls to stick myself in their circle and say what's up.

A wing is always going to be iffy. I mostly do alone shit. Just make conversation and you can worry about less after you're already there talking. Girls are always down to fuck if the right circumstances present themselves.

I will cautiously say yes, groups in pairs or threes can be DTF.
Not strictly speaking from experience, but I was once at a bar trying to get with a 7.5 - 8.0 track girl from my college. She was just eating it up and out of nowhere her cute little friend popped in and competed for my attention by grinding her ass on my junk.

I used to go out and pick up girls, but at the time there were no books or communities offering information; I simply learnt from trial and error and by watching the people around me.  If my friends and I were looking to hook up with girls on a particular night, we would observe carefully and pick our shots. Most often, our decision whether to approach or not was based heavily on one overriding question: Were the girls in a pair?

So here’s the thing – Girls that are out in twos are generally either having a heart to heart or are out to get laid. If they are having a heart to heart, it’s usually because of problems one of them is having in their relationship, which also makes them susceptible to the advances of a new man. In general, this is much harder work, however, and not advised, so we should screen this out early on.



But it can’t be that cut and dry?

Of course it is not an exact science, but I noticed when I started to pick my shots and approach girls in twos, my pick up rate increased exponentially.

Take yourselves as an example. When you go out with one friend, you are pretty much always looking to hook up, hence the idea of having a wingman. In a group of three or more, there is a good chance that there is some other purpose associated with the occasion, such as after-work drinks, someone’s Birthday, watching the footy etc. That’s not to say you wouldn’t mind a bit of hanky panky, but the motives for the night are set differently from the get-go. When we go out in a pair, there is something a lot more streamlined and purpose-built about it in terms of looking for members of the opposite sex.  The same applies to women.

Logistics

Now let’s look at it from a logistical standpoint. If you are with your friend and you see a group of three, you are up against it straight from the start. In a two, there will be one girl you like, and it is still entirely possible that her friend will hook up with your friend, thus successfully completing the logistics. In a three, there will be an odd one out and unless she goes home (unlikely due to female solidarity…), she will prevent you both from getting it on that night with your two girls.

Well, what if you’re also in a three? In that case, the probability of each of you being attracted to one of the three girls is very slim. Often your wingman will take one for the team, but include a third party and it’s usually a non-starter.

In the unlikely event that all three are single and you do successfully partner off, the logistics of having sex that night are also flawed. Bouncing two girls back when you have a master and a spare bedroom is fine, but a third couple often throws a spanner in the works.

Huge Indication of Interest

If you approach two girls and one of them is in a relationship and therefore out-of-bounds, she will deliberately retreat conversationally, allowing her single friend to take the reigns of the interaction with you. This is your hint that she is putting herself on offer.  Sometimes, the friend will even positively assist the courtship (she could easily be sick of playing love counselor.) You may also notice she will actually excuse herself and leave the two of you to it.  If that happens, you have gained total peer group approval, which is the biggest indication that the girl is willing to leave with you. You must then be a man and do this promptly – one more drink and then cab.

Now don’t get me wrong: by all means you should chat to girls in groups of three or more if you are just looking for numbers and potential dates/girlfriends.  However, if you want to have sex that night, it is in your best interest to go for girls in twos. Not only from a logistical point of view, but they are out to get laid as well.

Observing their State

Once we have found girls together in a two, there are some other additional clues to look out for.  If they are together, but not heavily engaged in conversation and/or positioned in an incomplete triangle formation (i.e. Such that their chests are pointed towards an imaginary point between them), then they are inviting someone to step in and provide the fun they’re looking for.  If they are facing each other, generally this means they do not want anyone to interrupt them, so if you do, then you should open with a statement that calls this out, “Wow, this looks intense” or “It’s about a boy isn’t it”.  If you open with “Hey how you guys doing” you show no social calibration and they will palm you off quicker than a Dennis Rodman rebound.



Look closely. Are they looking around/bored?  Look very closely at their lips throughout the night. If they still have bright red or glossy lips later on, this usually means that they have been reapplying makeup in the bathroom, and are essentially making an extra effort to maintain their prettiness in the hope someone will sweep them off their feet (if they were having a heart to heart, they would not care about this.)

See for Yourself

Think about all the girls you have taken home.  Were they initially in a two?  My guess is that a large majority of them were. I will often call this out with girls straight away: “I have a theory about girls in twos, you know?”  If you get any reaction other than a legitimate reason, you should assume it’s very much on.  I recommend you try this.  At the very least, you will learn more about women’s motivations on a night out.

Pairs of girls are the best. If you have a competent wingman, it's the highest likelihood you'll both pull because everybody feeds off of everybody and the girl doesn't have to worry about being judged or leaving her friend behind.

Not to digress too much, but I think in my case, maybe as with some girls, when I go out with a friend with the sole purpose of meeting chicks, it's more to use that as a crutch to take away from feeling conscious about going out by myself. The approaching girls part of it, I really don't want a wingman for. Not to mention most of the few friends I hang out with don't have that wingman, approach a random girl, mentality. Even though I freeze up on occasion, I'm still the bold one when it comes to talking to girls, it seems. You really have to gauge the situation to see how to approach a girl if she is with friends. There is no right, one size fits all, answer when it comes to that. But the common denominator is to just say "f**k it" and go and walk up to her.
