Un-Creeped

Since there is no logic in a woman, her mind is like an M.C. Escher drawing, it can go from non-sense to non-sense, as long as it feels like it works.

On the heels of the fame threads, Roissy's post on how to get out of the friendzone, and after what happened tonight, I'm making this thread for us to post our experiences turning a girl's opinion around.

I was playing a gig tonight, and I noticed this one cute chick in the audience giving off a strong fuck-me vibe. After my first set, we got into talking. Turns out her friend is dating my cousin.

I had actually met this girl a few years back before I knew about game. She also plays music and we jammed for a bit. I remember asking her out to get a drink, but nothing came of it.

Anyway, she was walking by the venue, saw my name, made the connection and wondered in to check me out.

She was very into the music and we talked after my first set and realized that we had met before yadadada.

Digression..
A couple of weeks ago, I was out with a buddy of mine at a bar that was projecting a movie in the back by the dance floor. There were three girls dancing. I opened one up and it wasn't really going anywhere. They sat down on the good bench to watch the movie. I made them move over a bit and sat next to the girl. Her friends were freaked out by my action, but the girl politely moved her bag and let me sit next to her.

Nothing came of it, I eventually rejoined my buddy.

Back to tonight..
So, I talking to this girl and she tells me she recognizes me again. She was the girl that I had "creeped-out" at the bar with the movie! What a coincidence.

Now, after "creeping" her out, and her watching me play music and sitting in, she essentially apologized for misinterpreting me at the bar. Now that she knew me more, she realized that I was a "warm" person etc.

Anyway, I got her number before the creep recognition. She walked out during my third set but told me to give her a call.

Huge turn-around. My micro-fame beat out my creeper vibe from the other night.

I was pissed off because after all my work getting game together, I'm still creeping girls out. There really is no such thing as pure in-direct bar game. Everyone knows what's up. It's all in-direct-direct.

-------

When I think of the word "Creep," images of Freddie Krueger and child molesters float through my mind. Now, if you have bad game, you are a "creep." Our language is falling apart.

RE: Un-Creeped
"Creep" has become a term women use to easily write off a man they don't want to fuck.

Agreed.

Really good thought provoking story-- Let me play devil's advocate-- my speculation is that once a woman has put you in the creep category, nothing you can do will turn it around despite her apologies and apparent change of behavior. ..

Their vanity is too strong to EVER admit they were wrong to that degree ( fucking) ..

I hope I'm wrong for all our sakes, and I hope you let us know how it goes.

If i got your story right, i think her exhibiting two different behaviors is a major red flag. She should've been somewhat "open" when you first interacted with her at the bar, even if she didn't recognize you.

Why didn't she go for drinks in the first place?

What I get from this story coincides with thoughts I've been having about game lately, and that is the pursuit of fame. Fame is no longer the realm of the select few, and there are many different levels. IMO, every player should pursue even the most rudimentary level of fame, if it means nothing more than starting his own blog.

My case example is a chef I used to work with. At that time, he was a nobody. Totally socially awkward guy (like most chefs) and honestly, just a total dork. He got zero attention at the restaurant. He's not that great looking, and I personally think he's pretty busted.

Well, he went on Top Chef, and won.

Fast forward a couple years later, and he's got his own restaurant, a cookbook, commercial deals, and in foodie circles he's a household name.
In some social circles when his name comes up, I've heard numerous women claiming how much they want to fuck him.

Understand, he didn't improve his physical appearance. He didn't become more talented (although he has enough to win a reality TV show). He is exactly the same person he was before, only famous. The before and after is striking.

So relating to the story above, fame trumps all. You'd have to try REALLY hard to be recognizable and have girls still think you're a creep.

Props for getting up on stage man, that's huge DHV and social proof.

I'm so glad that word is out of common use in the UK.

I think girls use that word the way they use "randsom" and other dumb chick words. Girls like to pretend they have stalkers just because a guy has no game and keeps texting/calling. This was her way of subtly "negging" you. I doubt she thought you were a CREEP. She honestly probably thought you were out of her league or pissed because you apparently just nudged her over and didn't pay her any attention when you first met, and I'm also willing to bet she recognized you right away instead of pretending it just hit her.

Maybe. Turns out her friend of dating some other guy, not my cousin. Fucking weird.

RE: Un-Creeped
Just got back from making out with this girl.

Not bang, but maybe it's a huge turn-around to go from being in the creep-zone to the FWB zone.

Or, maybe creep is better than LJBF.
