In my many years living in the Washington, D.C. area, I've always noticed what a huge number of women are out and about on Friday and Saturday evenings without men, whether alone or in female-only groups. You see them everywhere: on the streets, on the subway and in buses, at concerts and plays and movies, exercising in gyms, doing laundry, and on and on. I'm simultaneously surprised and not surprised by this: surprised because as we all know it would be so easy for them to find quality male companionship, but not surprised because it stands to reason that women who are as enormously picky as Washington-area women are are much more likely to end up alone on weekends than women in other cities who aren't so picky.

I've always assumed that the best way to game these women, and ideally score an insta-date with them, is not to mention the "elephant in the room" of their aloneness, since to mention it might give the impression that you're needlessly putting them down, or attempting to take advantage of them at what is for them a moment of weakness, or tastelessly assuming that because they're alone they must be wanting a man and would be willing to accept anybody, or some other unfavorable impression of that sort. Would all of you agree that treating their aloneness as a non-issue is the best tactic? Or does anybody have any different ideas?

Don't know about DC, but in Toronto lots of chicks do that (go out in groups) simply so they can ignore all the guys (at least guys their age) and take lots of photos to later post them on facebook.

Currently texting a girl who I chased down as she was walking, alone, down the street to go home. If you catch a small number (1-4) in between venues, rather than at the end of the night, when they're so plastered they can't say anything other than "Maccas," "taxi," or "FUCK OFF I DON'T WANT TO FUCK YOU, CREEP!," it's not too bad. Far easier to actually talk outside clubs than inside, and there's always something to chat about. Club game was my initial entry point, but I'm liking walking down the street drunk game™ a lot lately. Only problem with this type of approach is that, when you're just out having a good time with friends, and happen to notice a cute girl walking by (this is what always happens to me), they have a tendancy to fuck everything up due to their lack of game. If you can get past that hurdle, just treat it somewhere in between your normal night and day game scenarios. Lean further towards night game as your proximity to clubs increases, and towards normal day game as your proximity to the laundromat(what are you even doing here on a weekend night?) increases.

Drunk-in-the-street game is my SHIT. Once you get your confidence up, you don't need to be drunk, at all. I live in the DMV area and have been in the game for about a year now. As far as night game goes, approaching outside the club has given me more bangs and hookups than anythng else. (Maybe that's a bad thing? I don't know.)

If you really want to succeed, leave your friends at home or in the bar. There is a fine line between making a legitimate pickup attempt and being a "wasted" dickhead who is looking for a few laughs or just to use his friends as support because he is a pussy. Girls see a group of dudes and think "group of lame blacked out losers" or "GANG RAPE." Lose-lose situation.

Pre-bar

I usually go out by myself, or travel to the venue by myself and meet up with the crew later. As soon as I get out of the cab or out of the metro, I spot a group of girls I like of any size and take an educated guess (eavesdropping, walking route) if they are going to the same bar I am.

"Hey (guys), I'm meeting my friends at this bar X, do you know where it is?"
"Oh we're going there too!! Just follow us!!"

If you are a good guesser and know the area you go out in well, this requires NO GAME to get a convo going. Don't be afraid to make a white lie or two.

I literally do this after work everyday, pretending I'm going to a happy hour. Just pick a girl, ask where your pretend happy hour is, and alot of the time they will walk you right where you "need to go". I pick the same bar, right across the steet from my house. Easy 5+ minute chat, plus a great time constraint so you can thank her for being your guide, number close, and be gone. Easiest form of street game ever, any retard can handle it. Great beginner practice.

Post-bar

The beauty of this type of strategy is that you can approach a girl by herself or with ten of her girlfriends. If you are funny, ballsy, and reasonably sober, you will receive an overwhelming majority of positive responses. You can speak in complete jibberish if its funny and they know you are joking around. Outside the bar, make a funny comment about whatever stupid shit the group is talking about. I can't put words in your mouth, but here is 90% of their conversation topics:

"I don't believe Samantha went home with that guy"
"OMG that one guy was SO creepy? Remember?"
"I'm fucking HUNGRY where can we get food?"
"Where are we drinking next?? How are we getting there?"

Not that hard to think up a witty response, especially now that you are prepared! Make them laugh and throw yourself into their conversation HARD. Aggressively try to join them wherever they are going. If they start to go from laughing to apprehensive, just keep on pushing on with the "cool, funny, kinda drunk, random guy who got left by himself" routine and make sure they know you are playful. If they let you in the car or cab, you can probably fuck one of them. Well done.

For solo chicks looking for cabs, I approach them on the street corner, find out if she is going my way, and see if she wants to split a cab. If you keep a cool, safe vibe, she will agree more times than you expect. You'd be hardpressed to murder her in the backseat of a moving cab. Chat, make her laugh, touch her, and playfully try to get her to come back to your place. Or bring you to hers. Or another bar.

For solo girls on the metro, you already know they are going your way, so you don't have to ask. Here's my go to line for late night metro creeping:

"Hey there, can I be your friend for the next....::look at the metro wait time::...X minutes? I'm bored as hell."

A cool, mildly intoxicated vibe and firm, but non-rapist eye contact are very important.

Unless she's already terrified or looking really pissed to begin with, she'll probably laugh and maybe chat with you. She's drunk and by herself outside away from the loud, snobby bar, so her interest level will be more obvious. If she's feeling it, escalate, find out where she is getting off, and ask if you can walk her home (if it's not too far out of your way). Use Roosh's arm-in-arm move and try to weasel your way in. Bang.

This last call strategy does require some decent game and rambling ability, but you already knew that. If you are not at that level, start with approaching and being able to talk to a group of girls outside the bar.

Outside approaches are great. The other guys inside have done so much work for you- amping up the girls' attraction levels and getting them drunk. Then the girls reject them or leave or go out for a smoke, and you can swoop in.

I had success with this and have friends who just wait until closing time.. and then they hang outside the clubs as everyone is pushed out.

Definitely all of Northwest D.C., plus the near Virginia suburbs and the near Maryland suburbs, those being the main parts of the Washington area that I'm familiar with. There may also be a substantial number of women in public without men on weekend nights in other parts of D.C. and in the farther Virginia and Maryland suburbs, but I'm not so familiar with those areas so I wouldn't really know.

I'm interested that most of the answers to my post so far concentrate on the bar scene. I'm actually much more fascinated by locations that have nothing to do with the bar scene.

Great thread and interesting point. We bitch b/c DC girl ratios are shit, and it seems like from street-level observations that the women just are not at the bars. So, isn't this like complaining that we can't find gold in a salt mine? It's not there and never will be there. We'd all be happier looking in a gold mine (not saying any girl in DC is gold, of course).

Personally me, I don't get the hate for the DC women. I think there are quite a bit of attractive women. Lots of cute girls and a decent amount of real good looking women. Yeah there arent many Model 9's like in NY but its not like most of the board members ever had a chance with them. At best, you might get lucky to get 1 in your life. Let's just say that there are more than enough bangable girls if you go out to DC. Now the ratios OTOH, that is complainworthy. I don't think its so much a lack of women at bars and clubs, but more that there are way too many guys who go out. Not only that, but half of them are the creeps who hang out next to the wall and do creepy approaches. It's hard not to be associated with that crowd in a girls mind which is why first impressions are important.

I think they are hiding at home. My only two close female friends around here are both single, very attractive, and 23-24 y/o. They just don't care about going out, or, apparently, getting dick. It's seems that the slightest inconvenience in Fri/Sat plans will cause them to just stay home, watch the Food Network, and rub a few out from the comfort of their bedroom. Very disturbing.

I hear alot of other single girls talk and update their damn facebook about "girls wine night" at home and other related crap where they sit around, eat garbage, and do nothing. I think it makes them feel like sophisticated ladies instead of what they were in the very recent past (hard-partying sorority sluts). I feel like the average DC chick does this at least one night of the weekend, but I'm only going off what I see/hear/read.

See I don't believe that because I can't fathom a whole group of young girls in a city like DC with lots of entertainment options are sitting at home every weekend. I'm pretty sure most chicks go out somewhere on the weekends because they can't stand to stay at home by themselves all the time.

A buddy of mine lived with a bunch of female roommates (none very attractive, except one might have been a 6 or 6.5), and many many nights when he and I went out, they stayed home watching Jersey Shore. Maybe b/c DC is not as exciting as, say NYC, and the number of places you can really go out to can be counted on one hand (H St, U St, Adams Morgan, Dupont, and maybe G-town), they figure well we'll just stay in. Maybe what DC offers is just not exciting enough for them.

You have to keep in mind that many girls in the 23-27 age group just moved here from out of town because they found employment in DC's comparably hot job market. Many don't have a big group of BFF's that they can go out with on the regular like they did in college or back in their hometown. Since many girls, being insecure, require a massive group of supportive girlfriends to go out with, alot would opt to relax at home with a roommate than put themselves out there 2-3 nights per week.

Sounds like a Toronto replica. Think about it though, DC has a surplus of men, and these women KNOW they can get THE BEST male companionship DC has to offer, from bottles to free luxury car rides from pathetic losers willing to wine and dine them.

IMO i don't think it is very wise to approach 3 or 2 of these girls who are "alone", because either they are "alone" for a fucked up reason, or they have boyfriends and are out at night for validation that if their boyfriends would leave them, they have 100 other men to replace them (which is probably TRUE in DC as it is in Toronto). I'm not sayin i wouldn't try if i had few drinks prior

Nah i don't offer shit, although i did do that once, but turned the cam on me, and took a nice sexy pic of myself on the girl's phone......good thing i took her number as well afterwards, so she had my pic AND my number.....was a nice 7-8 bangs
