Do you know how many dudes have the self-confidence and drive to go to a country dolo and hunt poon? The answer is very few. The guys hunting in groups, i.e. stag parties and the like are handicapped from the get-go. In a group you don't know who's going to get sloppy and fuck the vibe or who's going to get jealous and cock-block. Guys that travel together and all get laid with non-pros are even rarer than solo hunters, in my experience.
I used to read the blog of an English teacher in Russia, he had some entertaining stories. But towards the end he started saying man it's changed so much, its no longer a pussy haven, foreigner status is nil, now they only want Russian dudes. So he tries to say sorry guys the dream is over, if you didn't make it there by 2005, forget it. False. He just got old. He lost his swag. He was no longer the new kid on the block.
Worrying about whether the level of foreigners has gotten too high for you to visit a country full of beautiful women that you dig, is analogous to our favorite Indian troll worrying about whether a single white girl will be attracted to him before deciding to learn game. I have had friends say to me for years "oh,next time you go to Russia tell me and I'll come with you to chase women". In the last 20 years how many have actually come? One,and that was because he had reached desperation point. 99% of people are all talk and no trousers when it comes to heading off to a foreign country to slay the mythical beauties if that land lays somewhere on the edge of their conciousness of the known world. Ibiza with a group of friends = yes! Minsk rolling solo = Fuck no! East of Warsaw the map is marked 'There be dragons' in the mind of the average Western dude.
Now I believe that most of these topics recently have come about due to the Euro 2012 tournament and it's impact on numbers visiting in future. Well there are a few things to remember about that.
Yes there is no denying that the reports coming out of the Ukraine from football fans is one of an incredibly friendly local population and great times have been had by all. I've seen interviews on the rolling news channels with England supporters saying they will definitely go back. I called it at the start of the tournament in the 'Racism at 2012' thread when people were saying it would be anarchy and should be avoided because of the inevitable violence but I did not need to be psychic to call that. It's what always happens at tournaments where you are on a high following your team and having a great time with your fellow supporters. Nobody cares about poor transportation or expensive accommodation at a tournament,it's about beer and singing. So let's acknowledge that the Ukraine has done a good job with the tournament,few thought they could. Good on them.
Now firstly as blunt pointed out competition is no bad thing,it ups your game and should be relished. "The strong blade was never tempered in a luke warm oven", but are the guys at 2012 competition?
Of the thousands talking of returning how many will? A minuscule amount. Why? Well mostly because football is a working class sport,the fan base of the England for example team is made up in large part ( I am generalising ) from the towns that do not have a Premier league team that plays in Europe. The guys travelling out there are working class lads from places like Oldham,Dudley,the Isle of Wight,Chatham,Burnley,Nottingham. The shit holes of our fine country. These guys will have saved for a couple of year for this trip to the Euros. Now they may talk a good game about returning and living in Donetsk with a local hottie for a few years but it's all talk. They will go back to the factory or building site after England are knocked out and live off the memory down their local pub for a few weeks before they forget about it and begin saving for Brazil 2014. I've seen it a thousand times. I travel with my team to champions league away games sometimes and every post match flight home is full of talk amongst the supporters about returning to said city to live. How many ever do? None that I know off. It's fine when they are in a group but returning to Donetsk on their own with no language skills in the mid winter? Nah,that kind of determination and steel resolve is reserved for the chosen few of us who have the unquenchable pussy thirst and masochistic spirit of adventure. The football fans being interviewed on TV and saying they will return, are like the guys standing ringside at boxing fights shouting at the protagonists in the ring to throw a left or a right but never actually donning the gloves themselves. Pussies like that are of no threat.
But let's say a few of them do man up,slip their hand into the leather gloves and book the ticket to some shit hole east of the EU,what do you have to fear from them? Nothing if you have some game. They have been bred on a diet of easy lays in English late night meat markets,and so as with all of us,you know what you experience. Their game is built on the shaky foundations of mutual alcohol intoxication,both them and their conquests and so to put them on a street in Kharkiv in the afternoon whilst sober and ask them to approach an attractive girl and get her number is an anathema to them. After the first failure,then the second and third their image of a Slavic Arcadia populated by willing local women of beauty comes crushing down on them. And so they either return home defeated or they end up in the local meat market where they are preyed on by the local gold diggers and semi-pros who have ten times more game then they do,and they will get devoured and shit out the other end with a lot less then they entered the Ukraine with. And then they will return to their home towns with tales of how all the women are money grabbers and bitches.
