I don't know how many people here pay attention to battle rap competitions but KOTD recently had this very hyped up battle between Canibus and Dizaster. I honestly wasn't sure to expect but this was just pretty brutal to watch considering Canibus reputation (i.e. second round knockout).

Plus Canibus spit a really suspect line and on top of that he pulled out a notebook! (instant reputation killer in the world of freestyling)

Diz shitted on him with the precision. It was kind of painful to watch this, but I can't wait to see the whole thing in its entirety whenever it's posted up.

Yes pulling the notebook was a wack move but thats why i admire this dude, he doesnt give a fuck.

Saying that Canibus was always a wack rapper is not knowing much about rap. Canibus was one of the hardest motherfuckers in this rap game.

True but modern battle rap's all written. Matches are booked and people know their opponents months in advance and have time to rehearse. It's more entertaining that way.

It was painful to see that for me. First time I saw Bis was in Subterranean in West London and he performed adequately. The guy is a lyrical machine and whoever says he is wack doesn't know rap and is one of those cotton candy fans.

However, calling shyt as it is, Diz ripped him to shreds (I've watched Diz since WRC08, develop admirably and take on ANYONE) and yes, concurring with Pitt, pulling out the notebook by Can-I-Bus was a nail in the coffin.

I attended one of the KOTD events last summer (near Scotiabank theatre). There was a guy from Ocala, Florida that I gained admiration for called 24/7, his delivery and swag is in alignment with what I fux with.

I also watched Pat Stay from Nova Scotia, say some ill shyt about Marvwon (main event).

I also saw Illmaculate rip some other cat. Illmaculate is a sharp not to be fcuked with MC.

Thesaurus is still one of the elites though.

Yeah maybe back in '97. I've always disliked him though and imho he just isn't one of the hardest motherfuckers in this rap game

I didn't want to offend anyone with my "whak ass rapper" comment, it was lighthearted and I wasn't hatefully bashing bis. Still like I said he is, imho, by no means the genius rhymer his fans say he is

I came back and tried to watch the first video. Looks like pro wrestling kinda. Anyway it's some of the dumbest shit I've ever seen here. If anyone needs me I'll be busygoing though Dash's latin america data sheets for the next few hours.
