There are loads of broads out there that do this shit. I've seen it first hand with a short term GF who would keep pushing further and further, pushing every button she could trying to get me to lash out at her. Normally I'm cool as a cucumber, which I think actually made her try even harder to get me to blow, but I slapped her upside the head once and she turned into a kitten.

Weird.

I avoid these broads like the plague now, but drama queens and violence lovers are out there and you can't always tell at first glance if she's one of those nutjobs.

Saying that, I see a lot of white knights in this here thread. If you poke the bear enough sooner or later he's gonna take a swing at you....

I'm not even sure what you're arguing here. I said that I have no sympathy for this guy. And I said that smart dudes don't end up on YouTube punching their wives in the grill over a PlayStation. How is that even controversial?

There's better ways of dealing with a girl dissing you, I don't think any of them involve punching her. When girl slapped me before I grabbed her wrist hard and gave her the eye, she didn't do it again. Vid made me feel sad.

Dude was being a crybaby in the video. Check out the end when he realizes he fucked up. If he was an alpha(all morality aside), then he would have not given a shit. But he's a beta who was a crybaby about a PS and hit a girl. The fact that she hits him first and disses him is proof of it. He never dominated the relationship, if it continues he'll be in the doghouse for a long time. If he dominated she wouldn't have cared about it and wouldn't hit him.

Traveler, we're not 'blaming' the dude per se. We're putting ourselves in his shoes and saying, "yeah, I wouldn't take that route." We know girls can be retarded. You wouldn't yell at a dog for eating the steak in front of it. You simply don't give it the option. But we expect more of ourselves, and other men by extension. And we don't expect the world and everyone in it to be perfect- we mostly accept people as they are, and hedge our bets accordingly. If I see a man losing control, and acting in a way that doesn't serve his interests, then I think he's doing it wrong.

And she didn't pose much of a threat. Bear hug her, throw her against a wall, done. The point of getting physical with a girl is to demonstrate dominance, not to inflict injury. A closed fist strike is unsuitable for that reason.

It's not clear the guy is even a thug. He might be pretty chill if not provoked. But she provokes him. Hell, she may have planted the camera and then acted out, just to get some abuse on video.

The whole matter of 'fault' and 'victim' is irrelevant bullshit anyway. You need to think in terms of actions and their outcomes. You need to identify what you can do to make the situation turn out the way you want. Even if I agreed that he was justified in decking the girl... so what? Does that get him what he wants?

Have you been in his situation before? If not then it is difficult to know how you would react until you were pushed. We don't know what happened before the video.

I haven't been in an LTR in a while, so I don't get into arguments much. I know when a girl is trying to goad me, and I just don't fall for it. I state my position, and follow through or walk out. If I were him, I'd have moved her out of the way before it gotten to fighting, and then just take my playstation. Arguing with her at all is saying that she has a say in the matter, when she doesn't. Don't validate her by getting wrapped up in her tantrum.

What knee jerk reaction to feminism are you talking about? They say they want to be equal, treat them equally, and hold them to the same standards as you would a man. Stop downplaying her actions with words like "goad". She hit him twice. It doesn't matter if she's small and incapable of delivering a damaging blow. It's the intent to cause cause injury that matters. Regardless of your strength and ability, when you punch or hit someone, you generally have displayed the intent to injure them.

You are correct in suggesting that if he were smart, he would have not allowed himself to be drawn into the situation. 1. She hits him unprovoked, and immediately proceeds to claim self defense. I had hoped people would have picked up on the uglier side of the rationalization hamster.
2. After he hit her, she didn't make a sound until she saw her kids, at which point, she turned on the tears and moaning for maximum effect, looking for the sympathy vote from the kids.

OK, so you assumed that people would agree with you and now you see that not everybody does. Why is that such a big deal? I think that guy was out of line, should have handled himself differently, and I have no sympathy for him. We can agree to disagree.
