Well, not quite. I actually refurbish them, give them new paint jobs, put on some new rims for the loans, and then resell them at an exaggerated rate to more wealthy customers. Sometimes I make money by charging a fee for customers to try out the loans beforehand.

No, but seriously, I mean make money in the sense that I temporarily see an increase in the money I can spend. Not permanently make money. Technically I am losing money/my life via loans.

The important thing is, this doesn't feel like work at all, it is a million times funner than my old desk job I use to work.

Things I do on Craigslist to earn money:
Become a Remote Salesmen/Lead Generator for
1) Web Developers
2) Graphic Designers
3) Programmers
I'm not going to give you all the details on how I accomplish this, as you would then be competing directly against me.
Though, this should give your mind an "idea" of where to start.

Also, there are clever ways where you can promote your affiliate links on Craiglist HINT: Use Domain Forwarding.

I have found Investors, Mentors, Joint Ventures and joined already established businesses all from Craigslist.
As long as you have a skill to offer, you won't need to put up Capital.
The best non-technical skills you can offer are:
1) Sales (be willing to cold call and cold e-mail)
2) Marketing (be willing to post on social media daily or to send flyers via snail mail/e-mail)
3) Investor Relations (you have to become obsessed with networking to reach this level but it is possible if you work everyday at it)

Also, find a fresh out of college (look in the resume section on craigslist) lawyer to double check all the contracts you'll be signing.
They'll work for $15 to $25 an hour and it is worth it.

The real trick is to get out of your comfort zone and be willing to spend time connecting the dots around the entire country you live in.
Definitely start with just your city, walk before you run, but once your comfortable branch out ASAP.

Ok. Time to bump, invaluable thread we have here folks.

Main Jobs:
- Parts store. Bad pay, okay hours, manual labor. But it pays for my expenses.
- Work at a gym to get free membership.


Side Hustle #1: Travel business catering to the wealthy. Commission based. Still brand new.
Side Hustle #2: Ketosis Dieting Coaching or similar. Haven't started yet, going to be as soon as the travel business is stable. I have a wealth of knowledge on dieting and I am well established at my gym as the "guy who lost a shit ton of weight." Seems too good of an opportunity to pass up.

Side Hustle idea: Thinking of importing coffee into the US and selling it to the hipsters around here at an increased cost. May be able to snag a pretty penny. I'll be doing a lot more research first though.

I'm planning on dumping my main jobs as soon as income starts rolling in from the side gigs.

MAIN: Sell/Broker aircraft parts from 737/747/757/767 Boeings and sell the rotable parts on eBay.
It's good pay but want to be earning more in an industry that requires many more years of aptitude with brokering deals and familiarity with jet inventories worldwide before a much bigger salary can be earned.

Side Hustle: Doing easy car repair and maintenance for friends, co-workers and whomever they tell by word of mouth.
One guy paid me just to guide him through the steps on a certain repair just so he could actually work on his own vehicle. That's actually happened a few times since and I always talk them into easy parts that are aftermarket upgrades or the next maintenance schedule for their car.

Gonna read through this thread and see what I can come up with in the side hustle business. need more $$.

This is primo advice. I have investor relations work experience from prior jobs. Definitely trying this!

Good bump, also for those who have posted in here its a good way to reflect on progress.

Per my previous post, I really haven't done shit and have stagnated. I have still put very little effort into actually monetizing my recording studio, though I did have a client from back east travel out here in January to record an album with me that made me a few hundred bucks - but this was out of friendship/loyalty and not a new client that I acquired by actually advertising.

I still work the same 9-5 IT job and since last year have only gotten a typical 3% annual raise. Same 'ole grind. I've been thinking about driving for Uber for extra cashflow as well.

Driving for Uber only makes sense if you pick people up on your regular commute. I have a cousin that commutes four hours a day and makes quite a bit extra by Uber during those hours. Driving around randomly is just spinning tires because of lost time and depreciation on your vehicle. If you do Uber, do it smart.

A fellow forum member who lives near me was doing Uber while in-between jobs from after-work hours until nightlife hours making an average of $20-$30 an hour. Even after factoring in gas and depreciation of your vehicle, thats good money, unless one thinks $15-$25/hr is below their pay grade for driving around. For my current situation it makes sense.

Certainly better than doing nothing.

I think that if you can offset the cost of gas and milage on your car with dollars per hour then it might be worth it. But that seems like a tall task. You don't pick your own prices when you drive for a service like Uber or Lyft. The rates are what they are based on where you are, what time of day you are driving, and what kind of car/service you are providing.

1. Private Equity Hotel Real Estate Investment company. Basically, we buy and sell hotels (essentially flip after renovating them) and make money for our investors. Averaging 20-30% for our investors

2. Real Estate Consulting Company - We do consulting on all real estate, whether prepaying docs to get a loan, help restructure, help with acquisitions, etc. Our bread and butter is hotels.

3. Financing Company - Provide loans for all types of real estate. Bread and butter is hotels, but mainly leverage our banking relationships to help others get loans, SBA loans, etc. Once again bread and butter is hotels.

4. Construction Company - Build hotels is the main thing here
5. Furniture Company - Have a factory in China that makes furniture, basically its mostly for our hotels

All in all, its mostly hotel related and all companies that help us vertically / horizontally integrate so that we can control as much as possible in the various stages.

The reason for writing this post and going into detail about it is if any of you need a side job, it would be commission based. But basically shoot me a PM if you think you could do any of these really well for any of the companies:

1. Raise capital. We are always looking for additional capital, so anyone able to bring in capital can start making a lot of money.
2. Bring in consulting Clients, whether management consulting, Hotel consulting, Multi family, etc. This is very hard to do, but someone may be well connected or have clients looking for consulting companies like ours.
3. Bring in clients that need Commercial real estate loans.
4. Bring in clients that have Commercial Real Estate construction needs, ideally hotels.
5. Bring in clients that need furniture, made in China tho.

Well, I'm Indian so my parents own hotels as well. I majored in Finance for undergrad and International business for masters. From there, just combined the two and did Private Equity for hotels. Started raising capital from friends and family and buying up hotels with a few other guys. Did well and with some quick flips, etc. and slowly built a track record and went for better and better hotels and higher capital raises.

For me:

1. I do Healthcare IT consulting independently
2. I own a Healthcare IT consulting firm well I send people out to do IT work.
3. I train people on Healthcare IT to be able to go out and do independent consulting.
4. Me and my friend are working on a blockchain based EHR.
