Wednesday I told a girl I'd like to see her after class. I usually get a quick response but I didn't. So later when I was out I said I am going to chill with friends. Being ignored is disrespectful. So... I skip work on Thursday cause I was super hungover/slept with someone else. This was in my inbox from Thursday:

"Glad to see I was supposed to sit by my phone last night..unfortunately I wasn't.So too bad, I missed the opportunity to hang out. Hope you had fun with your friends afterall"

I responded: LOL you're acting like a child.

I find it interesting that she mentions herself in the first 3 sentences although she is blaming me. What would you have responded?

From my limited experience I don't think I woulda responded with "you're acting like a child" because it's argumentative, especially when the subtext of her email is that she did indeed WANT TO hang out yet for some reason or another she didn't reply (could be any number of reasons: phone was off, working, etc).

Without knowing the full story I would just said "something important came up with my family I had to deal with, but I really wanna hang out with u next week after class." That shuts her up and shows her that blood is thicker than water, and still displays your interest.

Maybe she really did feel blown off when she had expected to hang with you, maybe not, who knows, but I rather play it conservative because it still seems she's interested in u, after all she DID email u first.

Should have just said to her, "I'll give you another chance... (insert time here)"

Here's what I'd do:

Her: "glad to see I.....blah blah blah hope you had a good time"
Me: "i did"
And silence.
2 weeks later I'd send her a text saying "hey how's it going?"
Unless she initiates conversation I recommend waiting the 2 weeks.
